Types of Mixer Grinder Blade and How to Pick The Best For You

A mixer grinder, a piece of kitchen equipment we use a lot to soften the texture of spices, peas, and nuts has at least 4 types of different grinder blades. Each blade owns a variety of different functions and flexibility. Before getting yourself a new grinder for home, better know which blade you need, so that you are not wasting money for things you do not need. If you are planning to get yourself a mixer grinder in Sri Lanka, always go for one with warranty – and stick with popular Sri Lankan shopping sites such as Best Bargains.

Wet Grinding Blade

This blade is pretty famous and the most selling one. Mostly used to prepare varieties of soaked grains, scraped coconuts, and chutney on a larger scale. But, a lot of people purchase the wet grinder blade for every kind of grinding.

Dry Grinding Blade

Unlike the previous one, dry grinder blades are mostly spices, such as red chilies, coffee beans, cinnamon, cloves, turmeric, almonds, and even also cereal. It is sharper than the wet grinder because it is supposed to soften solid things.

Chutney Grinding Blade

Chutney grinding blades usually come with the grinding jar, that is used to grind the chutneys of coconut, ginger, and red & green pepper both wet and dry. Yet, a lot of people are using a wet grinder blade instead of a chutney blade. Though it works too, the consistency will not be as good as grinding them with a chutney blade, thanks to its specific blade design.

Mincer Grinding Blade

The last one is a mincer grinding blade or used most for grating coconut, cucumber, almond, and cashew nuts. Mincer grinding blade is also used a lot to grind the meat into its desired consistency. This grinder is better used for damp necessities and meat.

How Do You Find The Best Mixer Grinder?

Of course, the most important thing you have to look out first is the quality of the blades, since it will do most of the work. Make sure you have the best sharp blade material, preferable is 304 grade made of stainless steel. As if you do not want the stainless steel, at least you are sure it is resistant from corrosion, oxidation, and other things.

Jars are also important. More jars, better. At least try to find a mixer grinder with 2 jars with various capacities for different purposes. Also, find the ones with a more break-resistant body with a good grip.

Then, check on the speed of the blade. It is pretty useless if you have the sharpest blade yet it moves too slowly. Because it will highly affect the quality of consistency. A good grinder should at least own 18000 to 23000 RPM speed for its blade.

Yet usually a juicer has lower RPM to work efficiently. That is why, it is important to know what you are going to do with the blade, and therefore know which brand is the best.

Do not forget to make sure you know how to claim a warranty. As a mixer grinder works pretty hard, it is important to keep it all together to prevent it from falling apart easily. Therefore, make sure the brand you are choosing gives an easily accessible warranty.
