Ruth MwendeMutisya is a 26-year-old Kenyan visual artist and sculptor. She was born in Nairobi, Kenya. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Kenyatta University.
Ruth’s work is heavily influenced by her Kenyan roots and the vibrant colours of her homeland. Her sculptures are often large and expressive, whilst her paintings reflect the same energy and passion. Ruth strives to create artwork that provokes thought and encourages viewers to question the world around them.

Ruth’s success as an artist is due in part to her dedication to her craft as well as her willingness to experiment with new styles and techniques. She is constantly striving to improve her skills and push herself creatively, which has resulted in her consistently producing high-quality work that resonates with viewers.
Ruth has received plenty of Education in her field. She started to paint when she was younger and hasn’t stopped since. Ruth has been recognized for her quality of work by many of the prominent artist in Kenya including Cyrus Kabiru, Miriam SyowiaKyambi, and Kenyan politician Esther Passaris.

Ruth volunteers several times a month teaching art lessons to young boys and girls in her community. She loves seeing the progress each student makes and watching them discover their own creative abilities. Ruth finds it very rewarding to be able to help others drift create pieces of art that they can be proud of.
