Since the 1990s, software companies have developed ways to spy on people’s personal information. Called spyware, these programs are often hidden within updates of legitimate software, including anti-virus programs and video games.

According to the US Department of Homeland Security, there are currently over 100 million computers that are infected with spyware.

Spyware is a common issue that can affect any PC. It can be inserted into your computer by opening an email, clicking on the wrong link, or typing in an incorrect website address.

Spyware often comes with malware which can cause many issues for you. The most common spyware will steal various data from your computers, such as passwords and credit card information.

Like computers and laptops, Spyware can also be installed on smartphones. To find out, you can dial a number to see if your phone is tapped. Spy app can forward your calls and messages to the person who has installed it.

This type of spyware is especially dangerous because they are so hard to detect. The most common way that this happens is when a hacker gains access to your computer.

And then, installs the software onto it, usually by tricking you into downloading something from an infected website or opening an email attachment with malicious code in it.
