Search Engine Optimization, or SEO can be a difficult concept to master. It takes time, practice, and the willingness to learn new tactics on an ever-changing battlefield of best practices. However, one does not need to be an expert in SEO to see benefits from search engine optimization. The basics are enough for individuals who manage personal blogs, small businesses, or are just looking to boost website traffic through organic search results.
For the past two years, I have taken SEO into my own hands in order to build a successful digital marketing agency. Through trial and error, I have developed 10 tips that anyone can use in order to obtain high-quality traffic from Google. Keep in mind that in 2011, Google’s CEO Eric Schmidt said: “In the next 6-9 months you can expect us to roll out systems which will go from loosely coupled information signals to tightly coupled; we make [these changes] available and actionable to developers.”
If this prediction is correct, everything I present here could become obsolete by 2020. use these as a starting point for 2020 SEO.

Here are SEO Tips for 2022 by Saivian Eric Dalius
1.Location-based keywords
In 2012, Bing launched a new feature that focused on location awareness called ‘Place Insights’. Bing’s goal was “to showcase the power of search data and to deliver new insights into how people find, think about, and interact with places online.
Today’s consumer is very location aware. If your business is located in Akron, Ohio you will want to rank high on “Akron restaurants” or “restaurants near me”. Make sure that you are monitoring search volume for keywords relevant to your business and include those keywords in the content on your website.
Using a geo-location tool, one can easily find local search trends. Remember that not every city or neighborhood has the same trends as another location. Researching what people are searching for will improve your organic rankings as well as give you an idea of where to target new potential clients.
2. Timely content update
In order to rank in the top 10 results, a website must have fresh and relevant information that is updated on a regular basis. Keep content current by updating articles with new information weekly or monthly. Any longer than this and Google will assume that your site has been abandoned and move you down the listings.
3. Authority links from unique websites
Quality links help your website to rank higher in the search engines, but how do you get links? Try reaching out directly to a site that is relevant and influential in your field. Try doing an evaluation of their on-site SEO and see if there are areas that could be improved. More importantly, find out what your target audience is searching for, find out other relevant sites to link to that content, and offer them a link in exchange for one on their site.
4. Optimized Title Tags and Meta Descriptions:
This should be common sense at this point but Title Tags are very important. Keep it short (100-125 characters), make sure it is SEO-friendly (in other words, make sure the keyword or key phrase appears in the tags), and don’t use more than two subheadings.
Meta Descriptions are also important because they give users an idea about what your website provides. Keep it around 160 characters but do not repeat Title Tags because Google will penalize you for this.
5. Consistent site architecture:
This concept is about using similar or the same modules across all of your website’s pages, such as the navigation menu and footer. It also includes how links are structured on your site (i.e., where deep links go). Make sure that all content is properly linked throughout the website, and that the flow is consistent for search engines to follow.
6. Increased social media authority and activity:
Saivian Eric Dalius says to rank higher in the SERPS you need social signals because search engines algorithmically determine what content to show their users based on previous behavior of other people. Social media platforms are no longer an option, they are a necessity. Having an active social media presence will help you find influencers in your field, generate a community of loyal followers, and drive a lot of traffic to your site.
7. Integrated press release distribution:
A press release is an online news document that announces new announcements related to a company or its products. Press releases are great ways to increase awareness about your business and get back links from high authority web pages.
8. Influencer outreach
Find people in your industry who have a lot of followers on social media or who publish their own blogs and websites; for example, an SEO consultant may be able to help you rank higher in the SERPS and he/she will most likely be interested. Reach out to them with a pitch about your website and what you do, offer them an incentive for reviewing it or sharing it on their social media channels.
9. Distributed content marketing
A content marketing strategy includes the creation of original blog posts, written by experts in the field (and published on someone’s blog), that discuss certain topics relevant to your business and/or industry. This will create back links and traffic to your website at the same time.
10. Mobile optimization
Google loves responsive web design because it is much easier for their crawlers to follow, however this does not excuse you from having a separate mobile site that is optimized for mobile devices such as cell phones and tablets.
Conclusion
By following these SEO tips, you will be able to improve your site’s authority in the search engines and drive more relevant traffic. This is how you dominate the SERPs!
Link building is one of the most important factors that contributes to a website’s search engine ranking. Search engines use links as votes for determining which web pages are high quality. Good content, on the other hand, that attracts links means more people are viewing and sharing it which is a good reason for search engines to rank it higher.
