Pakistan’s fintech sector has welcomed a new player that emphasizes “ethics” and “compliance.” Navicred Fintech (Private) Limited has announced that it has officially obtained a Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) Microfinance Company license from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) (License No.: SECP/LRD/LD/190/NFPL/2025), marking its full entry into the regulated inclusive finance market.

Against the backdrop of rapid digital lending expansion coupled with frequent irregularities, Navicred has clearly articulated its core mission of “ethical digital microfinance.” The company stated to the media that its operational philosophy prioritizes consumer dignity over profits, and is committed to leveraging technology to address pain points in traditional financial services, such as cumbersome procedures, information opacity, and privacy breaches.

Its flagship product, the SahulatOne mobile application, serves as the embodiment of this vision. The platform provides paperless direct digital personal microloans to Pakistani citizens, with particular focus on users in remote areas. On the technological front, the app employs 3D camera biometric technology for secure identity verification, while strictly adhering to the SECP regulatory framework. It has made a clear commitment not to access or misuse users’ contact lists, prioritizing data privacy as its foremost safeguard.

Navicred’s initiative not only broadens financing channels for those who face difficulty accessing traditional banking services, but also sets a new industry benchmark for self-regulation through its emphasis on “no intimidation-based collections and no privacy violations.” In an increasingly stringent regulatory environment, the emergence of this licensed institution may offer a valuable reference model for the healthy and sustainable development of Pakistan’s microfinance sector.
