You can ask them to follow the 20-20-20 rule wherein they would need to look at 20 feet away for 20 seconds after every 20 minutes of watching the screen.

Most of the kids get their eyes injured while playing outdoor. Hence make sure they carry the glasses which would allow maximum protection to their eyes from harmful UV sun rays. You can invest in UV filter sunglasses for your kid and ask him to wear them whenever he goes out.
