Know your walls before removing the mold. If your wall is-
- Covered with wallpaper, make a solution from vinegar or grapefruit seed extract and tea tree oil, use a sponge, dip it in the solution and gently wipe the mold out.
- Made of concrete, use hydrogen peroxide (be careful when you use it) and use a scrub to remove the mold
- Drywall, use baking soda, scrub and wash the wall, make sure to dry the wall before you check for any residue.
Making the solutions:
- Grapefruit Seed Extract- Pour one cup of water along with 10 drops of the seed extract and mix the solution well. Spray it in the infected area, let it stay for a few minutes, then wipe the mold away.
- Tea tree oil- Add one teaspoon of oil to two cups of water and mix well. Leave the solution on the affected area, since this oil will prevent the mold from returning.
- Vinegar or Baking Soda- One teaspoon of vinegar or baking soda with two cups of water and mix the solution firmly. Spray it in the mold area and scrub it with a brush to remove the mold. Rinse the area with water and spray the area again to ensure the mold removal.
