While the offices and business centers have been opened and work has resumed, it doesn’t mean COVID-19 has completely gone. As a matter of fact, the second wave has already begun in some regions while others are still struggling with the initial attack.

The reason to resume business activities has only been taken to prevent the economy from dipping further. As not all industries can follow the “work from home” regime, it has become, more or less, necessary to reopen workplaces so businesses can avoid suffering from further losses. Already, a huge number of businesses have been closed due to the global pandemic.

This piece of writing addresses those who have just reopened their workplaces after a gap of a few months. There are certain tips and practices you must adopt to ensure your employees and their families are protected against the novel coronavirus.

Follow the SOPs

Let’s start with the basics. You must ensure that everyone at the workplace is following SOPs as announced by the government. Place hand sanitizers at prominent spots throughout the workplace and encourage everyone to use them frequently. There should be one near the entrance, one at a reception, and one in each room. Also, encourage everyone to wash hands frequently, for at least 20 seconds.

Make sure no one enters the office premise without wearing a mask. It should be mandatory for everyone to follow. You can also order colorful and stylish masks for your employees to boost the team spirit and morale. Also, get the company logo and name printed on them. It can prove to be a tricky way to market your brand as well. A win-win situation from every aspect!

Ensure social distancing norms are followed. Desks should be placed at least six feet apart. Ask employees to bring their water bottles and tea/coffee mugs from home. Encourage them to bring home-cooked food, instead of getting delivered from eateries. This is another major cause of virus spread.

Ask your office cleaning crew to sanitize desks after regular intervals. Employees can also take care of this thing if you have placed hand sanitizing wipes near every workstation.

Remove Unnecessary Stuff from Your Office

For small or mid-sized offices, it can be tough to follow social distancing norms. The solution, in such a situation, is to get unnecessary and unrequired items from the workplace removed. They can be temporarily shifted to any other place or disposed of if you feel you aren’t going to need them anymore. You can contact reliable services for junk removal in Vacaville, Ca. for this purpose.

Once you have gotten the junk removed, there will be plenty of space to adjust desks according to the social distancing norms.

Identify Hotspots

It is important for you to identify areas that are most frequently used and mark them as hot spots. Make sure they are cleaned at least three times a day. Bear in mind that hot spots can be different with regards to every business, depending on its nature and scale. However, generally, tea/coffee stations, kitchens, washrooms, smoking zones are the areas that require frequent cleaning. Also, get the door handles cleaned regularly.

Skip Fingerprint Scanner for Some Time

Most companies now use fingerprint scanners for maintaining employees’ attendance. While the method is extremely efficient and accurate, it can help to spread the virus. So, give your fingerprint scanner device rest for a bit and opt for a manual attendance method.

Use Disposable Disinfectants

Chances are that you have never paid attention to what kind of disinfectants are used in your workplace. Well, it’s the time you should do this now. Get disposable disinfectants such as paper towels and disinfecting wipes. The sponge that is used generally can harbor bacteria. Thus, opting for disposable ones makes for a better option.

Hire Professional Services

It is recommended to hire professional services if you want to keep your office spotlessly clean and free from the risk of COVID-19. Whether you are looking for cleaning or junk removal services, never settle for anything less than the best. For the latter, you can rely on 3 Kings Hauling & More, one of the most reputed junk removal companies.

All in all, it is important for every individual to play a role in combating the risk of COVID-19. A slight mistake can result in a fatal condition. So, be very diligent and careful if you have planned to reopen your workplace.
