Compressor Cooling
A normal refrigerator uses the compress cooling system. The compress cooling system uses the vapor compression cycle; this cycle removes the heat from the refrigerator’s inner cabinet and converts the vapors in cool air.
A vapor compression cooling system uses a coolant gas that removes the heat from the inside of the machine and ejects it externally. The cool is produced by using the evaporation process and passing these vapors from an aluminum panel, which emits it in cool air and injects it into the refrigerator.
This system based on the four major components:
- Internal Evaporator Absorbs Heat
- Compressor
- Expansion Valve
- External Condenser-Radiates Heat
Electric Cooling
The electric cooling system is also known as the thermoelectric cooling system. This process uses a different kind of approach to remove the heat from the cabinet of a refrigerator. This cooling system uses the Peltier effect, named on the scientist who discovers it.
This cooling system consists of two metals that are joined together. These two metals are different from each other. In this process, an electric current passes through both metals. A heat fluctuation is created and flow from one metal to another metal. In this way, one side is getting hot, and the other one gets cool.
The hot side metal is attached to a heat skin which ejects the heat externally. This heat skin is made of aluminum fins that efficiently send the heat to outside. The heat is absorbed by the Peltier element attached to the heat sink and discharges this heat to the outside. On the other hand, the cold side is attached to the inside of the refrigerator, making the inside cool.
