You can crop the whole video, or you can keep the background
Flixier gives you the option to crop your entire video, modifying its resolution and aspect ratio, or cropping the clip and giving it a background.
To crop your whole video, you can use the canvas settings to modify the resolution (and aspect ratio). Then, you can use the controls on the edge of the video to resize and reposition it until the framing is perfect for you.
Alternatively, you can also use the Scale and Position values to modify your video more precisely. Just hold down the left mouse button and drag your cursor across them to increase or decrease the numbers.

If you want to crop your clip but keep the background, all you have to do is to select it, go to the Video menu on the right side and then use the Crop sliders there. You can also choose whether or not you want to crop your video in a square shape, or as a circle.
You can also change the color of the background from the canvas settings, or just overlay your cropped video on top of another one.
