Settling Down In Evergreen
1. The “Simple” Life
People have their own varied definitions of what “simple” is, in the context of lifestyle. But if you’re searching for a place where the city’s flurry of agitated workers moving along the day-to-day of tiring work-home-work is almost nonexistent, this is the town to be.
It’s true that our schedules at the office, keeping up with deadlines, and hitting targets are what help us bring food to the table. However, if the environment you and your family are in doesn’t offer much with allowing room to breathe and enjoy each other’s company on the down lows, then a move to Evergreen is the choice to make.
Plus, Denver is only about a 25-minute drive, should you want to be transferred to a “city” office while still residing in a quaint and lovely town not too far away. In fact, a majority of people who have taken it to themselves to finally build a life in Evergreen still work in their respective big-fish companies in downtown Denver. The commute is comfortable and is commonplace.
2. Quality, “Focused” Education
Schools in Evergreen permit only a number of students per class to ensure that teachers are able to reach out to each one effectively. Large public city-schools with N students in a class means not everybody will be given attention to. Not so in Evergreen.
Aside from having an education culture that’s student-centric, the quality of education is at par with that of city-schools. It’s ranked at #39 in college-readiness in the entire state, and #13 for reading and math proficiency.
3. Tranquil Living
Here’s one of the main reasons city-folk decide to move to Evergreen for good. In case you haven’t visited the area, we highly suggest that you do. Make some time over the weekend (or weekday, if you have a mid-week day off) from work to experience Evergreen the way you should— in person.
Only then will you be able to have a peek at its serene mountain ranges, calming fields and ranches, still lakes, etc. Families can live life peacefully, without the constant yammerings of people in crowded, overcrowded spaces, or the honking of cars on streets that are never empty of vehicles.
Above all, the Evergreen community is like a family. Everyone treats each other like they’re a part of the community, even if they’ve only fairly recently settled in. The heart of Evergreen, Colorado is waiting for you and your loved ones to lay your heads down and call it your own.
