David Donald Mobley was born on October 22, 1953, in Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex in Texas, USA. He is an American entrepreneur, songwriter, and producer. He is recognized as the founder of Wonder Wafers International, selling Wonder Wafers Air Fresheners, co-founder of “Crosswindz” (pop/rock non-touring studio recording group), and Tyson-Mobley (pop/rock non-touring studio recording group). He has also produced, financed, arranged, and composed numerous hit singles and albums throughout the 50+ years of his music career.
David is also the creator and producer of Oldies Goldies Radio, The David Mobley Show, Songwriters Webcast, Mobley Products, Inc., and David Mobley Productions.

The Beginning of His Career
David co-founded Crosswindz, a non-touring pop/rock songwriting, and recording band, in 1970. “High Park,” Crosswindz’s debut album, was released in 1972, followed by “Hot Acoustic Nite” in 2003 and “The Dark Side of Day” in 2011.
In 2021, he formed the non-touring pop/rock studio recording group Tyson-Mobley. The group is currently working on its first full studio album, which will be released in the Fall of 2022.
David is credited with composing the music for the 2003 New York Axiom Award-winning film “Deliberate Conduct” with the song “Cabin Fever” from the Crosswindz – “Hot Acoustic Nite” album.
In 2005, he produced the rock band “State of Whatever’s” smash album “Lifeless.” He’s also one of the Executive Producers of the 2008 film “Deal,” along with mega movie star Burt Reynolds.
A Renowned Musician
David’s backing vocals can be heard on Track 14 of Todd Rundgren’s 2012 album “[re]Production.” He is also known for being the Executive Producer of Dave Evans (co-founder and original lead singer for AC/DC and John Nitzinger’s smash album “Revenge,” released in 2013 on the Paris-based Bad Reputation Record label.
David is listed as Songwriter, Producer, Executive Producer, guitar, synth, keyboards, and backup vocals on the Dave Evans (co-founder of AC/DC) 2014 E.P. “What About Tomorrow.” He was named Songwriter and Producer of the Year in 2015 for the hit song “What About Tomorrow” in South America.
He also wrote and produced “Ice Crystals Bridge,” the title song and music for the YouTube mega-hit series “Moon Lit Paranormal,” in 2017. The Dave Evans/John Nitzinger “Revenge” album’s tracks “Here I Come” and “What About Tomorrow” was both featured on the YouTube series “Moon Lit Paranormal” in 2017. In the same year, the YouTube series “Moon Lit Paranormal” also featured the Mobley penned song “Cabin Fever” from Crosswindz’s “Hot Acoustic Nite” album.
David is credited as Co-Producer, Arranger, and Executive Producer on the mega hard rock band “Black Water Greed’s” 2019 hit album “Circle of Sin.” “The David Mobley Show,” “The Songwriters Webcast,” and “Oldies Goldies Radio” are among the highly successful internet music radio shows he created and produced.
Philanthropy & Charitable Donations
On a more charitable note, David is affiliated with several nonprofit organizations that teach impoverished children songwriting and play various musical instruments to help them get the attention they need and deserve. One of David’s recent donations was gifting a new baby grand piano to a local church to replace their broken one. David’s goodwill, donations, and contributions to help others continue today.
