Figma is a well-known and very favorite cloud-based design tool for designers that is almost like Sketch in functionality and features, but with big differences that make Figma better for team collaboration. For those skeptical of such claims, we’ll explain how Figma simplifies the planning process and is simpler than other programs at helping designers and teams work together efficiently.

Figma Works on all Platforms
Figma works on any OS that runs an internet browser. Macs, Windows PCs, Linux machines, and even Chromebooks are often used with Figma. It is the sole design tool of its type that does this, and in shops that use hardware running different operating systems, everyone can still share, open, and edit Figma files.
Figma helps bring these groups together. Figma’s universal nature also prevents the annoyance of PNG-pong (where updated images are bounced back and forth between design team disciplines). In Figma, there’s no need for a mediating mechanism to form design work available to everyone.
Communication with Team is Easier
Figma uses Slack as its connectivity channel. When a Figma channel is made in Slack, any comments or design edits made in Figma are “slacked” to the team. This functionality is crucial when designing life because changes to a Figma file will update every other instance where the file is embedded (a potential headache for developers). Changes to a mockup, warranted or not, are immediately vetted, and therefore the feedback channel is live.
Collaboration in Figma
As we all know, Figma is browser-based, design and development teams can collaborate as they might in Google Docs. People viewing and editing a file are shown within the top of the app as circular avatars. everyone also features a named cursor, so tracking who is doing what’s easy. Clicking on someone else’s avatar zooms to what they’re viewing at that point.
Sharing is Simple with Figma
Figma also allows permission-based sharing of any file, page, or frame (called an artboard in other design tools). When a share link is made to a frame on a page, the person clicking thereon link will open a browser version of Figma, and a zoomed-in view of the frame is loaded.
Hence, there is no difficulty in waiting, and it is very flexible to share things in no time.
Real-Time Updating of Figma Files That are Embedded
Figma also shares live embed code snippets to stick an iFrame in third-party tools. For instance, if coming together is needed to display embedded mockup files, those files aren’t “updated” by saving a Figma file—those embedded files are the Figma files.
Design Templates for Everything
Figma Templates have designs for all types of products. Such as cards, UX/UI designs, Graphics, Mobile Application Interface, Prototypes, Landing pages, Sign up and Memberships, etc.
Design Review Feedback Using Figma
Figma supports in-app commenting in both design and prototyping modes, and therefore the comment thread is tracked in Slack and/or email.
Prototyping in Figma
Figma’s simple prototyping feature eliminates the necessity for an additional tool that does slideshow style prototyping, like InVision or Marvel. When all that’s needed may be a simple presentation with transitions, there’s no got to export to review tools.
