Things that you are aware of to check before renting a flat, townhouse, apartment, house, or other rental property. You basically focus on things like location, access to market, landmarks, other amenities close to home (like parks, metro, malls, public transportation, grocery shopping, and more). Other than this it is so important to ensure the rental unit is itself perfectly what you want. In metropolitan cities like Bangalore, Tenants expeditiously move into renting property without realizing what is suitable for them even drafting online rent agreement in Bangalore.

Typically a landlord shows the truth instead stretch the truth intended to pretend to have the best property. This post is going to tell you checks you should do with your landlord before making any payment.

Check 1: Floor, Carpets, Walls, or Stains

Give extra attention towards walls, carpets, floors coz an attempt to hide holes or any damage under such carpets, paints can put you in trouble. Take pictures of such damages or stains to keep the record for the future. These pictures can only give you leg up in any disputes

Check 2: Switches, Lights, Tubelights, Windows, hinges

Don be left out with these checks before moving into renting property. If your landlord seems to blow hot and cold in his action while showing such small things. There could be a possibility of broken lights, windows, etc. It is time to check light fixtures and tell the landlord responsibility to replace them with new ones.

Check 3: Check Thermostat and Ventilation

The thermostat can tell you the room temperature apparently this is a good idea to check if it is properly working. Also, see if there is proper ventilation of air, gases smoke and the room is conditioning itself.

Check 4: Check Safety equipment is working and are in order

Some safety detectors like carbon monoxide detectors and smoke detectors are very essential in renting property. Make sure such detectors are in order and working perfectly. If you find that a smoke detector is not lit up (as in the light or lights on the device are not on), you should expeditiously tell your landlord and ask to fix it ASAP.

Check 5: Check for pests

No one wants to struggle with pests like cockroaches, bedbugs. That is why draft an Online Rent Agreement to finally move into the property when you vigilantly looked for any indication of pests in each and every corner of the house.

Check 6: Check Washrooms, restrooms, kitchen to make sure Faucets and other water supplies are working

Check if there are no cracks, break, missing handles, leaking in the faucets.

Check 7: Check Stove, Sink, and Refrigerator

Now come to our last point the most vital point responsible to fill our stomach. Check stove, gas pipeline, sink, and refrigerator properly. Something is looking good does not mean there can not be any physical damage.

Before renting a property go for an Online Rent Agreement and fill all the clauses required to save you from any trouble.
