We’re now in the 21st century and have seen a lot of trends, big and small, come and go. Some have been for the benefit of all and others are fun distractions that we might forget about in a few months or a year’s time. Although “going green” is here to stay as global consciousness grows and moves towards a more sustainable future for all. Below are three green trends that are here to stay, and for the benefit of the planet.

Table of Contents

  • 1. Renewable energy and sustainable fuels of electricity.
  • 2. Water Management
  • 3. Transport going Green

1. Renewable energy and sustainable fuels of electricity.

As the global population continues to rise the demand for electricity increases with it. Traditional methods of producing electrify are outdate, unsustainable and have detrimental impacts on the environment. Renewable energy sources are now here to stay. Theses sources of electricity are sustainable are won’t runout like coal. CGS Solar Panels Brisbane advise that renewable energy, in particularly, solar energy has progressed to the stage where it is now a financial smart decision. Renewable energy is now so advanced that the costs are minimal to it’s financial gain. Having them accessible and useable for the average consumer has been a huge development and a major step away from our reliant on fossil fuels.

2. Water Management

In Australia, a country known for its warm and sunny weather, there has been an ongoing problem with droughts and their impact on the environment and the local agriculture industry. When an industry relies on water so heavily that it can be brought to its knees from a drought, something has to be done. Water management and recycling systems have been developed to overcome water supply issues. The development in desalination technologies and clean water recycling are able to provide clean water to those that need and can use it. These systems have a flow on effect on national water supplies. Where water can be recycled and reused for households, this frees on water supplies that can be used for irrigation in the agriculture industry and reserves can be kept for emergencies and instances of drought.

3. Transport going Green

Vehicles are known for the high amount of greenhouse gases they emit. It has been stated that at least a third of all greenhouse gases come from vehicles. Although there is an increasing push towards green vehicles. Whether this is electric powered cars and trucks like the Tesla or hybrid cars that are a mix between traditional engines and electrical. If paired with renewable energy sources electric cars can be a 100% green form of transport. We are only going to see more and more green transport options as they become more affordable to the everyday consumer.
