Part 1. Migrate Google Drive to OneDrive via Cloud Transfer Tool – Easy and Free

To make Google Drive data transfer to OneDrive or other clouds easily and quickly, the free cloud backup tool – CBackup is a good helper. This backup tool allows you to easily migrate data between clouds like transferring Google Drive to OneDrive or vice versa.

Apart from Google Drive and OneDrive, this tool also supports Dropbox, FTP/SFTP, and other mainstream clouds. The following is a list of powerful features of CBackup:

  • Migrate an entire cloud or specified cloud files (such as photos, documents, etc.) from one cloud to another with a few clicks.
  • Automatically transfer cloud files on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule.
  • Transfer all data at once with no file size or type limitations.
  • Manage unlimited accounts for all cloud drives on the same interface.

Please perform the following steps to complete your Google Drive to OneDrive transfer.

Step 1. Create an account for the CBackup cloud backup tool on its website for free. Download and sign in to the CBackup desktop app.

Step 2. Connect your Google Drive account to CBackup by going to the “My Storage” section, clicking “Add Cloud”, selecting “Google Drive”, and finishing the authorization. Then, grant CBackup to access OneDrive with the same steps.

Step 3. Click “Backup Tasks” and tap “New Task”. Select the “Cloud Files” option on the pop-up windows.

Step 4. Tap on “Add Source” to select Google Drive or choose some Google Drive files as the backup source.

Step 5. Click “Add Destination” and select “Single Cloud”. Subsequently, add Google Drive as the destination and tap “Start Backup” to begin the migration.

Note: In addition to migrating files between clouds, you can use CBackup as PC backup software to backup data to clouds for protection as well.

Part 2. 2 More Methods to Migrate Google Drive to OneDrive

Additionally, we’d like to introduce two more solutions that are commonly used in Google Drive data transfer.

Way 1. Manually Transfer Google Drive to OneDrive

If you don’t have a lot of data to move from Google Drive to OneDrive, you can try manual data transfer by downloading and uploading files.

Step 1. Log in to the Google Drive website and select the files and folders you want to migrate.

Step 2. Right-click them to select “Download“. The time it takes to download depends on the number and size of the files you download.

Step 3. Navigate to the OneDrive website and sign in.

Step 4. Click the Upload button on the top and then choose the downloaded items from Google Drive to upload them manually.

Way 2. Migrate Files from Google Drive to OneDrive via Google Drive Takeout

Compared with manual migration, Google Takeout is a better option. This data retrieval platform allows users to export data from their Google account to OneDrive directly.

But if you want to migrate Google Drive files to OneDrive weekly or monthly, Google Takeout is not suitable for you since it only lets users set Export once or Export every 2 months for 1 year.

Step 1. Visit the Google Takeout webpage and log in with your Google account.

Step 2. Click on “Deselect all” and then tick the checkbox labeled “Drive”. Scroll to the bottom and tap Next step.

Step 3. Tap the downward triangle symbol to choose “Add to OneDrive” in the Delivery method column, then click “Link accounts and create export”.

Step 4. Follow the on-screen guide to log in to your OneDrive account and wait for the export to complete.

Conclusion

Three useful methods are listed on this page for you to migrate Google Drive to OneDrive. Choose the one you preferred to perform cloud data transfer easily now.
