What is NASC

NASC is a trade organization for the animal supplement industry. Established in 1985, NASC aims to promote the use of animal supplements, educate consumers about their benefits, and support advances in science and technology related to animal products.

The NASC represents the interests of its 45 members who are manufacturers, distributors, exporters, retailers and suppliers of animal supplements in the US.

NASC provides regulatory support to its members through written comments submitted to appropriate agencies and organizations including USDA’s Food Safety Inspection Service, FDA’s Center for Veterinary Medicine, EPA’s Office of Chemical Safety & Pollution Prevention, US Fish & Wildlife Service’s National Wildlife Refuge System Administration

National Animal Supplement Council Certification is important because it helps assure consumers that what they are buying for their pets is safe and healthy. It creates a standard set of guidelines for all pet food products in order to ensure that all pets can have access to healthy foods without fear of being poisoned by bad foods.

The National Animal Supplement Council Standards Overview are guidelines which are designed to ensure that animal dietary supplement manufacturers are producing quality products. These standards include the essential elements of the manufacturing process, including using non-GMO feed for livestock, controlling environmental conditions, and sourcing ingredients from reputable suppliers.

Benefit of Being NASC Certified

The NASC certification is important for two reasons. The first being the increased credibility, as the certification acts as a seal of approval for rigorous quality management. The second being that it acts as a benchmark to help other companies create their own quality management system.
