Which Colours Are Best For Fair Skinned Women

Do you want to build your wardrobe and you don’t know the colours that’ll look best on your fair skin? When it comes to selecting colours, it shouldn’t be done on a whim because your skin tone has a major (primary) role to play. Since you are here, I’m sure you already know that, that’s why in this blog post I’ll be telling you the colours that are best for races with far skinned women.

The number one rule about colours and skin tone is that you should always go for colours that flatter your skin and make your face pop. Not many people know this because it’s a top-secret that stylists all over the world use.

If you have ever been embarrassed or felt ashamed because of the outfit you wore, then all that ends today because after uncovering the secret laid out in this article, you’ll never again be in such an awkward situation again—all thanks to the fact that you would have learnt about the best colours that compliment your fair skin tone.

The best colours for fair skinned women

For a fair skinned woman, you can either have peachy or warm undertones or cool undertones.

For fair skinned women with warm or peachy undertones, one characteristic feature is that they usually have freckles accompanied with red, chestnut, strawberry blond, or golden blonde hair.

While for fair skinned women with cooler undertones, they do not have any colour on their cheeks and they have black, dark brown, or ash-blond hair.

The essence of all that information is to tell you that before you can begin matching colours, you’ll have to first determine or identify your skin’s undertone.

For fair skinned women with warm undertones

The first thing you should note is that earth tones look great on you. Then you can think of a shade of green (think olive, emerald, grass, and lime) and any shade of brown (even pinkish-brown works as well).

The colours: Ivory, grey, and navy will do justice to your fair skin tone as they’ll complement your peachy undertones.

For lighter colours, use the lighter side of orange and red families (i.e., colours like peach, light pink, rose red, apricot, or rose pink). When selecting colours for your fair skin, know that it’s all about selecting colours that’ll flatter the subtle red undertone in your skin.

Try to avoid neons and very bright colours because they tend to clash with your skin colour. Choosing black can seem too harsh or dark and white may seem too pale making you look sickly which isn’t the goal—the goal is to look classy.

For fair skinned women with cooler undertones

If you are a fair lady with cooler undertones, then the first thing you should take note of is that colours in the berry family look great on you. Think along the line of deep red or strawberry, deep purple, raspberry pink, and boysenberry. Those colours are great because they create a nice contrast with your skin and they can produce or bring out a hint of colour in your cheeks.

Jewel tones are awesome for your skin tone as well. In that case, think turquoise, emerald, and amethyst.

For the metallics, pay more attention to gold and avoid silver. You should also avoid shades that appear too light and bright. Black colour will give you a goth vibe while white will make you look pale. Also, neon, lilac, and yellow don’t bring out the best in your skin.
