We all been there….Tired of studying, not wanting to continue, pressured by peers, feeling down…and feeling it’s not worth it!
And the worst part of this is that we really want to escape this trap…but we can’t do it.
We have been there for ages and we just get tired. We know it is true and it’s a kind of dead-end.
If you are reading this, chances are that you might have similar types of feelings, where you no longer feel excited about studying, whether is it a dissertation topics writing or any coursework etc. It’s a total bore!
Now, what can a student do in such a situation?
How can you start loving your studies, and do it well, when in the present moment, in truth, you feel completely opposite?
The truth of the matter is that you can not control the feelings and thoughts you have regarding the studies. You feel what you feel. You think what you think. And that that is what you need to realize.
The more you run away from these emotions, trying to control your thoughts, the more you get into the double-bind of emotions vs feelings. You can not escape yourself. You can not put your feelings down and say you don’t want them anymore. Furthermore, you can not really feel in a certain way and then hope to think about reality in a rather opposite way. They always go together!
So, the question that a student can ask himself is.
Can you see the situation as it is? Do you have the courage to do so?
And when you do realize that this is how it is – It is fundamentally the 1st step towards resolving the issue. Of course, we can intellectually understand this principle Dissertation topic list, that when we start seeing the way they are, and not force our judgements on the issue, we kind of start become unbiased towards our own self. It is, therefore, in fact, one of the fundamental requirements of approaching a problem in the right manner.
And as soon as you start doing it, you will see that your body starts to feel at ease. The resistance you have been putting on, concerning studies, kind of starts to dissolve, they become lighter and much easier to manage.
You start feeling that you were reacting very strongly and negatively, towards the feeling of not wanting to study.
You realize that if you don’t want to study, you can take a break and enjoy some other activities.
And when it comes the time to study, you can look at it as it is. You droop the judgements and kind of start participating in it in a fresh way!
This is to say: when you participate in your studies, actively, without any previous judgements about it, you start approaching it in a new way, the way you have never done before. You start seeing that all your activities, including studying, is a part of what is happening around you. And that there is nothing too wrong about it afterall. It can be fun!
As Shakespeare famously quoted. “There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.” That pretty much concludes it!
