What is the role of YouTube stories for marketing and promotion?

YouTube has been around for quite a while now. It was made in 2006 under a private company that wanted to create something where people could watch all the videos they want under one platform. Later it was purchased by Google and now works as a domain under the entire Google ecosystem. It is no doubt the world’s biggest and one of the best video streaming platforms available with millions of viewers and many people working on it.

It has mostly an individual-based system. People have their channels through which they can upload videos. The biggest channel on YouTube belongs to just a regular individual named Pewdiepie. He has attained over 100 million subscribers on YouTube alone over years he has been active on the platform.

The algorithm of YouTube works on video views and subscribers. It is a great platform for earning. YouTube itself pays using google ad sense through which revenue is generated by using advertisements on the video. There are also chances of brand endorsements. Brands may offer their products and give money to you if you feature them on your channel.

The YouTube algorithm also depends on the number of likes that a video has. If the video has a higher number of likes then that means that people like that video and it will be put on the trending page where it will be highlighted for everyone and will gain even more YouTube views.

One of the very latest things that have been introduced by Google on YouTube is stories. Stories have been around for quite a while on other social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat, etc., and are not necessarily a new thing but for YouTube, it is a rather new feature.

Following are a few ways you can promote yourself on YouTube using stories:

  • Making a video is a very tiring thing and takes a lot of effort. In stories, you can quickly attract your audience and learn about new markets and watch all the comments and feedback that your audience has
  • You can create hype through stores. For example, if you have a big video coming up on your channel you can announce that through stories so that people can get excited about it and marks their reminders for the video
  • If you are selling a product you can notify the audience about your latest product launch and its few quick details to work with

In these ways, stories have helped a lot of people who want to market something on YouTube and make their channel grow with a huge number of audience and subscribers. YouTube no doubt is a great platform and like all other major areas to be successful on YouTube you have to work hard to gain subscribers and video views so that you can earn a good sum of money and make it a large-scale job.
