Digital Marketing, If digital marketing had not been my field for many years, and a part of my whole life revolved around it, I would have felt just as confused as you when I heard this strange term.

A question that many Arab youth have been asking lately and want to know the answer, but perhaps few of them realize that they, in one way or another, are part of the digital marketing system.

 

Marketing is as old as time, and it is an essential component of the success of any business, regardless of its size and industry.

For decades, marketing strategies remained confined to magazines, newspapers and television channels, and these were the most advanced and effective marketing channels until the emergence of the Internet and modern technology and everything changed, and a new era began and a new marketing concept called digital marketing or Digital Marketing.

 

With digital marketing, many concepts have changed about marketing and the relationship of the organization to the end user, through which the target customer can be reached in the right place and time, and even the best case for making a purchase decision.

It is the application of general principles in the science of marketing through the use of modern technology tools, especially the Internet, and it is also the tactics and strategies that are used to transform the virtual digital market into a tangible market.

 

Digital marketing does not refer to modern communication technology only, but it also refers to the technological devices used (such as smartphones, televisions connected to the Internet), and to the digital platforms used (such as smart phone applications).

 

Digital marketing is concerned with commercial operations that are based on the concept of “E-CRM,” an acronym for Electronic Customer Relationship Management.

 

It means electronic customer relationship management, through studying the market, searching for new customers, serving current and old customers, and giving customers the opportunity to contribute to the development of the products and services provided.

 

From here we understand the new marketing theory that digital marketing adopts. It depends on modern digital technology to meet the needs of customers, achieve the goals of the institution, develop existing markets and open new markets, and thus achieve a huge increase in profits.

1- The possibility of direct interaction between the customer and the business

Through digital marketing, customers can express their desires directly for the organization or business, by responding directly with the marketing elements issued by the organization.

 

For example, the customer can express his opinion directly about one of the company’s products by writing a comment on one of its social media pages, of course this helps the organization to understand customers, their desires and problems, and then give it an opportunity to develop and grow.

 

2- The ability to target well

Through what digital marketing provides of accurate data and information about customers, organizations can create accurate targeting that enables them to reach potential customers who can achieve good sales through them.

 

3- Fair cost and the ability to control the marketing budget more flexibly

The fair cost of digital marketing comes as a result of its unparalleled effectiveness, so the idea of ​​cost here is measured by the size of the gains or profits that can be achieved through this cost.

 

In the world of digital marketing, you can pay for every target customer who watches a promotional video for your product, instead of paying a large amount in TV ads that you cannot control showing for each targeted customer in particular.

 

Controlling the marketing budget is also a prominent feature in digital marketing, for example, you can start a marketing campaign on a social media site with only $ 100, and you can stop it at any time in real time.

 

4- The ability to collect and reuse data

Through the advanced technology provided by digital marketing, business owners can collect and keep customer data, and then reuse it again to make distinctive marketing offers, or achieve more sales for the same customers who bought before.

5- The ability to measure results accurately and then make the required improvements

One of the most important advantages of digital marketing is the ability to monitor, record and analyze marketing results, and then take appropriate decisions that help the business to develop and improve.

 

In digital marketing, everything is subject to analysis, from the level of interaction on social media, through the rate of opening marketing e-mail, watching marketing videos, ending with the achievement of sales operations.

The analysis here includes the average age of clients, their gender, interests, and income level.

 

6- The speed of obtaining results compared to traditional marketing

With digital marketing you often see results quickly, on the one hand you can direct marketing in the direction you want precisely, and on the other hand, you can measure everything and you can see results first.

 

For example, if you are the owner of a product, you can immediately create a Social Media page, start a marketing campaign and watch your target customers interact with your campaign within an hour of its creation and approval.

One of the most important channels that have proven their importance in the last decade in the world of digital marketing.

 

Marketing on social media aims to attract customers and consumers, introduce them to the brand, interact with them, and provide all the data and information they want to obtain about the product or service.

 

In the end, the purpose is achieved, which is to convert the target customers into real customers by completing the purchase process, and among the most famous social networks are Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Youtube.
