This can be confusing because authorities or recipients may use different terms, or use one term more often than others, to refer to the same process submit. Below is an analysis of the confusing terms that are often used when we are requesting documents to be used in another Country.

What is consular legalization?

A document must be stamped by a consular official in order for it to be accepted in a foreign country. In the same way, the Apostille issued by one state party will be recognized by another state party to the Convention. To be utilised in countries that have not signed the Apostille services in Bangalore Convention, a legalization step would be necessary in addition to the Apostille. Legalization by embassy/diplomatic office is required in this scenario.

Apostille and official seal confirmation are proofs for official documents obtained by the Ministry of External Affairs when it is necessary to submit documents due to study abroad, overseas transfer, marriage, etc.

When obtaining a student visa, getting married / divorced, giving birth, establishing a company, etc. in a foreign country, you can apply for and obtain it only when the submission destination of the documents requires proof by the Ministry of External Affairs.

Since the apostille / official seal confirmation is to prove that the target official document was issued by a public institution, you may be required to submit a foreign language translation separately for Indian documents.

For example, in establishing a joint venture with a foreign company, establishing a local subsidiary of a Indian company in a foreign country, studying abroad, international marriage, etc., in your overseas activities or in relation to foreigners, the company register or you There are occasions when we use documents created in India, such as a copy of a personal family register, but at that time we request that the company or national institution to which we submit the document obtain certification with the words “Notarization,” “Legalization,” and “Apostille.”

Apostilles certified translation

A certified translation of your apostille may be required by the foreign entity requesting it. Birth certificates and corporate documents are among the most common documents that need to be translated, including FBI reports, FBI background checks, and birth certificates. It is attached to your document, which must also be translated, and serves as a seal of approval. Apostilled documents must be translated first before they may be apostilled by the attestation services in Bangalore. Apostilles and translations should be done under one roof due to the sensitivity of your documents.
