Revalidation is considered to be a new process or initiative that has been implemented to change the current requirements for renewal during Post Registration Education and Practise Standards termed as PREP. This is a crucial step, and one must undergo this to maintain their registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, helping them continue their revalidation training and practice. However, it serves a bigger purpose than just helping you hold on to your registration and practice, it helps you evaluate your skills which you could improve and nurture further.
It encourages you to take a step back and review what you have done so far, how you have been applying them and how you should be applying them further, and how one should be upholding their Nurses’ Code. This training helps you nurture a bond with fellow nurses and practice skills, which would help in the betterment of the relationship between nurse and nurse and that of nurse and patient.
