Get Access

The first thing you need to do is to get access to the selected grammar checker, in our case Grammarly, by accessing its website. Once you get there, click the ‘Get Grammarly’ button and the browser will redirect you to a sign-up page. Here, you will need to agree with the service’s terms and conditions, as well as privacy policy, and sign up with one of your existing accounts (the system offers to select from your Google, Facebook, or Apple accounts). In case you already have a Grammarly account, you can use it as well.

Navigating The Service Menu

You can also improve your Grammarly experience by customizing the built-in dictionary by adding new words, as well as selecting your primary language, so Grammarly could provide suggestions tailored to your language background.

In the Account menu, you can also see your current plan details. A free plan provides basic writing suggestions and tone detection while premium and business subscriptions feature a much wider set of functions and capabilities, including full-sentence rewrites, plagiarism detection, and brand tones. How To Check Your Document?

In the My Grammarly menu, click the New button to open a text processor window where you can type or paste your text, so Grammarly could check it and provide its feedback. Alternatively, you can also click the Upload button to open a file with the content that needs to be checked. Either way, Grammarly will scan your text using its AI-powered instruments and assess its performance, vocabulary, and readability based on several metrics, such as the number of characters, words, and sentences, word length, and the use of unique and rare words. You can also set your language goals to tailor your written content to a certain audience and domain.

Based on the scanning results, Grammarly will indicate what grammar mistakes and errors have been found and how they could be rectified. The assistant will also provide you with certain recommendations on how to achieve a higher level of text clarity. When working on a paid tier, Grammarly can help you make your text more engaging and interesting, as well as produce the right impression on the reader. In addition, paid subscribers can get expert writing help and a plagiarism check to make sure their content is unique.
