Types of doors you can consider while building your home

Building a new home is a complex task, especially when it comes to selecting materials for multiple things. To increase the home appeal, one always focuses on the entrance. A door not only pulls up the impression of your home but also gives your home an aesthetic appeal.

There are a large variety of doors available in the market. You can either make it by using manufacturing materials or can buy from the market which is ready to be fixed on to the walls. But we can not ignore the fact that the door also is the first layer of security. We have to keep rooms such as the hallroom, bed room, washroom in mind before buying them.

 

  1. PVC Doors– PVC is an abbreviation for Poly Vinyl Chloride. A plastic material commonly used to make pipes, fittings for houses, water tanks, etc. The popularity of PVC doors has increased in the market due to its large variety of designs and multiple colors available in the market. The PVC doors also have anti corrosive, light weight, moisture resistance features. They are most fit to be used in restrooms and washrooms.

 

  1. Fibreglass Doors– Fibreglass is considered to be one of the hardened materials with a low maintenance cost as compared to steel and wood. Because of its hardened feature, the material does not wrap, and twist; it also has an insulating property. One can easily incorporate fibreglass with wood to produce an aesthetic look along with a variety of designs.

Aluminium Doors– Aluminium is put into multiple uses, from doors, windows, to partitions, curtains, walls, etc. Resistance from environmental conditions, economical are few of the favourable features for using the material on a wide range. The lightweight feature prevents putting much load on the building.

 

  1. Glass Doors– These doors are used to increase the aesthetic look of your home. They are generally used for the unobstructed view. Glass fitted within a wooden frame or aluminium frame are common choices.

 

  1. Steel Doors– Metal doors have been used for decades. The metallic feature is a good choice for both exterior and interior components to be used in a home. Steel is used as a substitute for wood. The steel can be easily carved into any kind of shae and can be put to any design. Steel also can be made into shutters by welding the steel sheets. The long lasting property of the material provides low maintenance, as well as it provides security due to its strong strength property.

 

  1. Timber/Wooden Doors– These kinds of doors are usually used as entrance doors. The doors are used because of its easily available nature and can be found locally. The doors can be made from wood or timbre by a local carpenter as well.

 

  1. Flush Doors– Flush door is made with plywood over a timber frame. The core is filled with cardboard. The frames can be made by using wood, aluminium, etc. Due to its durability, pleasing appearance, and economic value- the door is commonly available in the market.

 

The doors are easily available in the market or service providers for door installation.
