So today we will talk about some selected content on these platforms. See, there are tens of platforms first, then there are hundreds of movies and shows on every platform. So the dilemma remains, what to see and what to skip. So we compiled a list of 5 such web series and 4 such movies which are released on these online platforms in 2019 and are among the best in a crowd of thousands. At least in our eyes.
The list is neither in increasing order of improvement nor decreasing. Nor alphabetical. It is random like thoughts.
»1. Made in heaven

The shooting of the second season of ‘Made in Heaven’ is also on.
See why-
# Baffles of rich people, their problems which are different than collecting noon oil.
# The Truth Behind Weddings.
# The mirror of the duplicity of society – dowry, sexual exploitation, superstition, honor killing, virginity, NRI groom etc.
# Layered characters.
# Fictional presentation of some news made headlines in newspapers.
- Inside Edge
Amazon Prime | Season 2 | Release – 6 December 2019 | Episode – 10 | Directors- Akash Bhatia, Karan Anshuman, Gurmeet Singh
Season One of ‘Inside Age’ arrived in 2017 only. This was one of the first web series of India. Although it did not last much, this time, it was very buzz when the second season came. Like the IPL, its story revolves around a fictional Premier League and one of its teams ‘Mumbai Mavericks’. In this, what is happening on the field and during the game, of course, is also shown. But the focus is not on the stage but on the ‘sports’ playing in the background. Meaning- fixing, betting, cricket’s relationship with Bollywood and politics, corporate version of cricket, et cetera.
See why-
# Completely different subject.
# Real presentation to the extent of ‘Perfection’ of the Playground and Sports Part.
# Theatrical adaptation of a lot of true events, though slightly exaggerated. For example, the controversy over the movie ‘Padmavat’. Brazil’s ‘locktygate scandal’. IPL to be in South Africa due to election. Ban on Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings, etc.
# Many characters and lots of plots, linear and simple storytelling despite subplots.

The suspense that builds in this frenzy of doubt and belief is the essence of this series.
Why see-
# The series maintains suspense and thrill despite being based on relationships and emotions.
# Unique treatment of the regular subject.
#Modern shows the lifestyle of cosmopolitan married couples very close to reality.
# Characters have many layers to their character. And the way these layers open up, the way their different faces, different forms appear, the journey has become very easy.
»5. Laila

Hindu. Whose husband was killed for being a Muslim? The mother and daughter were separated. The entire series is a journey to find the same daughter.
Why see-
# The world with ‘us vs them’. Very black. The world of the future, which seems neither distant nor impossible.
# Capitalism comes out in its most terrible form.
# We have Taliban, Iran, and Saudi to see how the hardcore Sharia rule is. Likewise, Laila has a radical Hindutva system.
# Old Dictators such as Hitler, Gaddafi, Saddam Hussein, and newer ones like Kim Jong would indirectly refer to their truths.
