While still in college, his entrepreneurial mindset led him to start his own media and production company focused on diverse types of digital content creation.
This diverse experience with video production gave him strong foundations in conceptualizing and executing client projects, though he saw an unmet need in the market for specialized animated explainers.
After graduating, Saiful spearheaded an eLearning video venture under his MediaTech company, creating animated videos for edTechs and organizations to turn complex training and sales concepts into engaging and easy-to-understand visual stories.
It was here that Saiful noticed a common struggle faced by brands worldwide. “Every company had a common problem – they struggled to clearly communicate their own services and products,” he recalls. Saiful saw an opportunity to solve this communication challenge through the power of explanatory animation and visual storytelling.
An ambitious goal emerged in Saiful’s mind – to build a specialized animation studio focused on simplifying complex ideas and making abstract concepts truly engaging. He dreamed of making animation accessible to all types of businesses and learners – not just major corporations with huge budgets.
Saiful firmly believed his country could compete at a world-class level when it came to animated video production. He took a leap of faith and began experimenting with animated explainers in 2016.
The results exceeded all expectations. 10 Studio was born. What started as a passion project quickly grew into a globally recognized animation studio serving leading brands around the world.
Saiful’s path to building 10 Studio was not easy. As a young entrepreneur, he faced many obstacles and skeptics along the way.
When he first envisioned starting a globally competitive animation studio, many thought it was unrealistic. At the time, most animation production was centered in hubs like the USA, Europe, and East Asia.
“It was an uphill battle convincing clients worldwide that Bangladesh could produce world-class animation,” Saiful recalls. “We had to overcome perception barriers.”
Access to funding and talent also posed challenges. Saiful had to rely on his own investment and tap into personal networks to find his first animators and designers.
“I believe in empowering local talent. The creative potential is here, it just needs nurturing,” he remarks.
Saiful took a methodical approach – starting with small explainer video projects for SaaS businesses to build up 10 Studio’s portfolio and reputation. Early client wins gradually attracted more work and interest.
Today, the passionate 10 Studio team has created hundreds of animated videos for companies across diverse industries including technology, finance, healthcare, education, and more.
Their short but powerful explainers process complex concepts into compelling visual stories using a blend of eye-catching graphics, smooth motion design, and persuasive narrative.
For Saiful, 10 Studio represents the fulfillment of his vision to build something meaningful from the ground up. “We’re proving that world-class animation can thrive right here in Bangladesh,” he remarks. “I want to inspire future generations in my country to be bold, think big, and make their own mark.”
Today, 10 Studio has expanded into a full-service 2D animation production house with over 50 employees serving clients across North America and Europe. Their unique animated video style has earned international recognition and mention in prominent media and publications.
“It’s incredibly rewarding to see our projects resonate with audiences worldwide,” says Saiful. “Our global clientele, from startups to Fortune 500 companies, inspires us daily to push the boundaries of what animation can achieve.”
