Tau is an artist who specializes in oil colors, and his style encompasses a wide range from cubism to abstract and impressionism. Art has always inspired Tau, and that’s how he dabbled in the world of Cubism-abstract. He was born with a hearing problem, and the hearing aid in his ear would beep all the time, taking him in and out of concentration at school. During that time, he used to go into his own world of imagination and sketch while in class.
At the age of eight, he watched Oliver Stone’s movie Wall Street. There’s a scene in the movie in which Picasso’s painting appears. That was one of the most significant moments as a child when his passion for painting was ignited in him. “It’s funny and ironic that precisely the most capitalist film that inspires materialism managed to bring me inspiration for spirituality, art and creativity,” Tau shared about how it all started.
Most of his work comes from pain, excitement, from being different from others. As a child, he grew up differently; he had very few friends, speech problems, sleep problems and a lack of communication socially. All this made him frustrated, and he wished to be normal like everyone else. However, now Tau cherishes the difference and appreciates his truth. It helped him boost his self-confidence and, above all, gave him the courage to move ahead in life, the courage to try new things and not be afraid anymore.
Tau is not a tormented artist, as his pain doesn’t control him. In fact, it has given him the ability to find himself and explore his motives. Being an introvert, he got the opportunity to study himself, allowing him to learn how to channel every experience into the inner strength he could capture on canvas.
His main inspiration comes from Picasso. Although there are artists like Dali, Marc Chagall, Van Gogh and Paul Klee who have touched his life, Picasso has a special place. Tau researched and learned about the modern legend Picasso and the events in his life. His paintings, technique, and confidence have had the biggest influence on Tau’s life as an artist. He forms a personal connection with every artist who inspires and contributes to his skill enhancement.
Tau did not attend any art school but learnt everything on his own or by studying various artists. “Painting is like playing the guitar. The more you practice, the stronger you blend, and if you have an innate talent, then your sound is more special,” he expressed. “I worked long hours, countless nights of silence with the brush and little sleep. I gave up almost completely on social outings because this is my dream and I give and will continue to give everything to live my dream,” Tau added.
He loves the creative world and has faith in his capabilities as an artist. His self-belief excites him and also gives him positive energy to continue creating, painting, questioning his creation and improving his art. Moreover, he encourages aspiring artists to listen to themselves without any preconceptions and ego issues. Tau believes in exploring what you love the most and how you would want to be remembered. When you have dived within yourself, only then can you become an artist and make your dreams come true.
Tau is inspired by the fact that every painting he creates is another small addition to human history. The extent to which it will contribute to global consciousness is something time will tell. “I work hard to leave behind a legacy that will spread light or even a tiny positive thought. That’s enough for me and I don’t need more than that,” Tau stated.
The deep understanding of human relationships, human psychology, the male and female body, science and space, faith and spirituality and the meaning of philosophical questions have helped Tau shape as an artist. The interest in the physical universe and its philosophical implications have made a lot of artists legends and that’s something Tau follows as an artist too. By understanding these relationships between human physics and psychology, he has been able to unlock the doors to creativity that we see in his Cubism-abstract art and paintings.
By trusting in the universe and its signs, Tau experienced an intense sense of passion and spirituality, and a strange, quiet child full of questions found his answers in the form of a paintbrush and canvas. Art, in the true sense of the word, changed his life and gave him a purpose with a sense of achievement and peace at heart.
