How did you start / How did you start making music?
Suppa Ant: When I started making music at the age of 13, my older brother influenced my music career. He rapped, and he did it well, and from then on, I wanted to be a rapper, and I just loved music from the jump.
What is your stage name? What inspired your stage name?
Suppa ant: My stage name is Suppa Ant. My older brother gave me that name when I was young.
How did your upbringing in Oakland, CA, affect your career?
Suppa Ant: Growing up in Oakland, California, and single mom as a parent will force you to aim for more and that’s what I have done with my music career.
Do you have musical visibility in the works?
Suppa Ant: yes I do actually I’m on spotify itunes amazon shazam youtube pretty much anything you can almost think of.
How do you feel about protests and black people’s lives matter to the movement?
Suppa Ant: I honestly feel like black is a color, and I’m not a color, so I don’t want to be identified as one, but as for the organization, I like it because you have people who fight for what they believe in.
Do you have any other projects at work?
Suppa Ant: Yes, I have a song I’m working on called I really mean it
What motivated you to continue being a professional artist?
Suppa ant: When I was shot, I looked at life different and felt blessed to be here and live everyday life, so it encouraged me to take music seriously because no one knows how much time they have left in this world.
What are some of the musical influences that inspired you?
Suppa ant: My most significant influences on music are 2pac and mac dre because 2pac was a real honest person who loved to see everyone shine. Him and mac dre are the voices of my time. They were the only people we listened to growing up.
What is the most challenging topic you have ever written?
Suppa Ant: Honestly, there is nothing challenging about what I write about. When it comes directly from the heart its pure and true so its not difficult to write about it.
What is the most outstanding achievement you have ever had?
Suppa Ant: The most significant success made by iv I would say, is the day I graduated from high school. My teacher told me that if I came back late, I would not get a diploma. So I showed up every morning with donuts and coffee. Also, recently i just crossed 50 thousand listeners on spotify.
Are you planning to release new music soon?
Suppa Ant: Of course, I am the one with a lot of new music that I work on, and I have a lot of music that I have not yet released.
What’s next for you?
Suppa Ant: The next thing for me is to continue going hard, chase my dreams, and be number one on the billboard hot 100 one day.
