Some Brilliant Activities to Make Your Corporate Family Day More Exciting

We’ve all been to our share of corporate family days, but let’s admit – most of us already know what to expect. Although corporate family days are supposed to be fun and exciting, it wouldn’t hurt to throw in an activity or two to make it even more of a hit. You can, for instance, organise a tour of the office (this is particularly great if your office is a police or fire station!), or you could organise a picnic with lots of food, drinks, and games. The point of a corporate family day is to help everybody relax and let their hair down and thank everyone for their hard work in the past year, and it would be excellent if you could offer something more than the usual this year. Here, then, are some brilliant activities to make your corporate family day more exciting this year. 

1. Do a tour of the office

As mentioned, one of the simplest (and best) things you can do for this year’s corporate family day is to do a tour of the office. Whilst it would be great if your office were a police or fire station, it would still be worth everyone’s while if you could do a tour. Most families are curious about how their mum or dad works and spends their time at the office, so you can open up the space and show everyone what you do or what your office looks like. Then, on the day of the tour, lay out some snacks in your pantry and let everyone explore the space. 

2. A sporting event

Sports are popular for a reason, and most everyone has their favourite sport – be it football, baseball, volleyball, or more. You can let everyone attend a sports event, and even the minor league sports teams are fun to watch. Also, if you call in advance, many sports stadiums and centres can arrange a special tour for your company and give you corporate or group discounts! 

3. Go hiking

Another excellent activity for the corporate family day is for everyone to go hiking. It’s perfect because it builds endurance and resilience and encourages the whole family to go out and be active. You can check out different hiking trails in your area, and when selecting the best route, don’t forget to consider the age of the participants and their abilities. For instance, a short but exciting hike will suffice if you have small kids in the group. 4. Have a picnic

In addition, you can organise a barbecue or hire food trucks or stalls that serve hot dogs, burgers, and ice cream for a truly wonderful time.
