Riding in The Next World: WoW Shadowlands Death Knight Talents Guide

The Death Knight is one of the most capable classes in World of Warcraft since its release, and that continues in Shadowlands. In fact, the class is more relevant than ever lore-wise in the expansion. On top of that, it’s received upgrades to its talents, as well as new ones. So, buy those WoW Mounts for Sale – you’re going to ride and not die.

Unholy Death Knight Talents

For the Death Knight, the best two specializations are Blood Knight and Unholy. The former is the closest thing the game has to the Summoner/Necromancer archetype, while the latter is the tank. If you buy WoW gold, you can try both.

For now, however, we’ll start with the Unholy Death Knight, whose talents are as follows:

  • Level 15: All Will Serve – this increases the damage you deal, as it allows you another skeletal ghoul to your small army. The other Level 15 talents don’t give as much of a damage boost as All Will Serve, so it’s recommended that those going for this spec should get this one first.
  • Level 25: Unholy Blight – boosts the spec’s DPS further. Or rather, way further, as it gives a debuff that stacks and deals much damage over time. Debuffed enemies also take extra damage from minions, making it synergistic with All Will Serve.
  • Level 30: Asphyxiate – serves as a great Utility tool. This 4-second stun can be used in all sorts of ways, especially as crowd control or a means to temporarily take out one enemy while taking care of another.
  • Level 35: Soul Reaper – boosts your damage whenever you hit an enemy that whose current HP is at 35% or lower.
  • Level 40: Wraith Walk – gives the Death Knight mobility, making this a must-get, as the class isn’t exactly known for easy repositioning.
  • Level 45 – Unholy Pact – further boosts the damage your minions deal, as it grants a buff to Dark Transformation. It gives a 5% Strength bonus and grants extra Shadow damage to minions when they attack. With such bonuses, getting Unholy Pact is practically a no-brainer.

Blood Knight Talents

As for the Blood Knight, the talent of choice can get a little tricky, as the PVP and PVE branch of the build diverges on certain choices F95 Zone. Both of them, however, will share the same talents, which are the following:

  • Level 15: Blooddrinker – this gives the Death Knight the ability to regain a bit of health for a couple of seconds. Although a channeling skill, it is not interrupted during movement or when performing certain actions.
  • Level 25: Hemostasis – because the Blood Knight’s primary means of healing is Death Strike, Hemostasis is a must-have because it improves that ability, as it pushes its damage and healing bonus up to 40%.
  • Level 35: Will of the Necropolis – a great utility and survival talent, it prevents you from being killed if your health drops below 30%, as it reduces flat damage by 30, thus giving you the chance to recuperate and come back swinging again.
  • Level 50: Red Thirst – this talent reduces the cooldown of the ability Vampiric Blood, which increases maximum health by 15% and increases the effectivity of healing spells for 10 seconds. This allows the skill to be used more often, which in turn greatly improves the Deaht Knight’s survivability.

Between PVE and PVP

As for the PVE, you’ll go for these two: Relish in Blood at level 30, Grip of the Dead at level 40, and Bloodworms at 45. The first gives an additional source of Runic Power, as well as a bit of healing from Death and Decay. As for Grip of the Dead, it gives Death and Decay a slow effect bonus. Last but not least, Bloodworms improves the Death Knight’s survivability and damage potential by a lotand can heal the entirety of the users’ health.

On the other hand, for the PVP build, it is the following: Blood Tap at level 30, Wraith Walk at 40,and Voracious at level 45. Blood Tap is a quick and easy way to generate a Rune. As for Wraith Walk, like what’s been previously said, is one of the Death Knight’s few talents that improve mobility. Since this is PVP, it’s important to be able to move around, lest you get killed helplessly. Lastly, Voracious grants more healing from Death Strike, allowing you to stay in the fight for fight longer.

The Death Knight should not be the death of you. Instead, it should be that of your enemies and the assured survival of your allies. With these tips on talents, your Death Knight will be able to deliver all that – and more.
