Rierson believes that teams need to be equipped with resilience building strategies that support the rejuvenation of their own morale in order for them to be successful, as well as create a sense of unity and cohesion within their team. 

Building relationships within teams is essential for team leaders to be able to delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively while assessing individual strengths and weaknesses. 

By creating strong bonds between members, leaders have the opportunity to foster trust, which allows teams to better collaborate and come up with creative solutions in challenging situations.

How Richard Rierson Started his Leadership Journey

Richard was raised in Wichita and developed an interest in leadership from an early age. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, his exposure to business and leadership was unparalleled. Richard attended Wichita State University to study business management, developing his understanding of leadership theory and practice.

After graduating college, Richard began a career in the military as a pilot for the United States Air Force. He quickly rose through the ranks and gained notoriety for his exceptional leadership abilities and capacity to motivate those around him. Richard served in the Air Force for over a decade until being honorably discharged in 2004.

Richard left the military and entered the corporate world, working at various companies in various leadership positions. He quickly gained a reputation for his ability to turn struggling teams and organizations into high-performing units, earning him a place of honor as an exceptional leader and coach.

In 2012, Richard launched the Dose of Leadership podcast which quickly gained notoriety as one of the world’s most popular leadership shows.
