PvP mode in the Shadowlands update – recap

It has been almost a year since the release of WoW Shadowlands expansion. And it’s safe to say that this was one of the best updates for PvP. For starters, PvP vendors have been brought back to the game. They sell equipment exclusively for the War mode, so for those who like to roam the vastness of World of Warcraft in PvE mode, such merchants are much less useful.

Shadowlands update offers two types of PvP items:

Non-rated – the purchase is made for Honor points. Can be purchased from the Zo’kuul vendor located in the western part of Oribos (Enclave);

Ranked – Conquest points serve as the purchase currency. Conquest gear can be purchased from Zo’sorg.

Players can buy armor and weapons, and various accessories designed specifically for PvP. Moreover, they are all presented in a variety of options, each of which has different characteristics.

IMPORTANT. Aggressor Zo’dash, which is also located in the western part of Oribos, can upgrade non-rated equipment, payment is also made with honor points.

As for the item level of PvP items, they are as follows:

Not rated equipment (rare quality). From level 190 at rank 1 to 229 at rank 7;

Ranked gear (epic quality). From level 233 at rank 1 to level 259 at rank 7. At the same time, the developers have introduced certain restrictions on the acquisition of weapons for Conquest. The character must earn 5000 Conquest Points in Shadowlands Season 1 to get the “Forged through Conquest: Shadowlands Season 1” achievement.

How do I get Honor and Conquest points?

Inexperienced players will immediately have a question. Where can I get Honor and Conquest Points to purchase the much-needed PvP gear? Let’s start with honor points, as world-of-warcraft provides many ways to get them. They can be obtained for participating in any action in PvP mode. It can be like completing the corresponding (PvP) tasks – local or regular, rating and non-rating battles, etc. Simply put, anything with a PvP prefix will bring honor points. Conquest points are a little more difficult. The player receives the main amount for participating in rated PvP battles. Random Regular Battlegrounds: Honor 300 / Conquest 40;

Random Epic Battlegrounds: 450/65;

Arena matches arena carry : 160/15;

Brawl: 300/40;

Daily Quests (in PvP mode): up to 750 / up to 100;

World Quests (in PvP mode): 50.

Great Vault and extra goodies

Conquest points provide another important advantage. The ability to get high-level items from the “Great Shadowlands Vault”. At the same time, the quality and rank of the dropped item directly depends on the results of the players PvP activity during the previous week. To receive a reward, you need to earn an increasing amount of Honor through Rated PvP. It should be remembered that if all three tasks have been completed, then the player will be able to choose among the three offered items.
