She worked there for eight years, helping clients improve their style and cultivate a professional or personal image with the right clothing. She was well-suited for the position as a style expert and assisted clients in choosing clothes and accessories.

Life was going well for her, she was in her comfort zone and thriving at her job. She had found what she loved, but things would change quickly. Then, one day, a charming gentleman named Emre walked into the store, sparking a budding romance. That’s how Emre and Gozde, began dating. It didn’t take Emre too long to convince her to accompany him to California, where he resided. And the rest is history!

Gozde wouldn’t have found true love if she had never decided to leave her comfort zone. After all, she was in a good position, personally and professionally. For instance, the pair love to explore California. They’ll often drive on PCH to see the gorgeous Big Sur or head down south to watch sunsets in Malibu and Santa Monica. In addition, they also enjoy embarking on bike rides under palm trees in Santa Barbara.

It’s no secret that California is blessed with a fantastic geography, and, as a result, the state has many outdoor activities for residents. It has allowed her to settle in easily because there are so many things to do. Similarly, the couple is also a food and wine enthusiast. They enjoy visiting different wineries in Santa Ynez and eating out at different restaurants.

Gozde notes that one of their most memorable dining experiences was when Emre took her to the San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California, to celebrate her birthday. He surprised her with a bottle of 1992 Dom Perignon Champagne, shocking Gozde and leaving her in tears because the wine was made the same year she was born.

Gozde and Emre Balli continue enjoying life on the sunny coasts of Santa Barbara. Gozde has embraced her new life as an influencer who shares fashion and cooking tips on her profile, even though she didn’t attend a culinary institute. Instead, she taught herself through experimentation and a process of trial and error. The husband and wife duo have also delved into the next chapter of their lives, opening a Thai comfort food restaurant that primarily serves noodles.
