Meet Sayches’ Fish: The New Symbol of Digital Privacy

Sayches’ mascot aspires to build brand awareness and symbolise human rights to Internet privacy

The British IT company Sayches has unveiled its official brand mascot in all its social media channels. Sayches’ fish, a hybrid of an elephant and a fish, is a private creature that defends users’ rights to privacy, anonymity, and transparency.

“It is easy to catch a fish, but it is difficult to hunt an elephant. So, we created a hybrid animal by giving the strength of the elephant to the weaker organism. This way, Sayches will be able to fight threats that it aspires to nullify”, states the company, referring to the threat of the ever-growing accessibility to user data in the online world.

Sayches’ fish, as it is being called for now, will soon have its name decided by the online community. Much like some iconic brand characters, such as Tux (Linux), Octocat (GitHub) and Dax (DuckDuckGo), Sayches’ mascot aims to increase user engagement and brand exposure online by providing a positive perception of the company’s social conscience. Created to symbolise the digital privacy offered by the company’s services, the Elephant-Fish hybrid will essentially help build brand loyalty and awareness amongst Sayches’ users.

One notable example of the importance of brand loyalty and customer awareness in the industry is from Apple Inc. The American technology company, famous for its high-quality products and innovative marketing strategies, has improved its retention and brand loyalty by creating an emotional connection with its consumers, paying close attention to details not only in products and services, but also in customer experience.

In this respect, Sayches’ fish presents itself as one of the brand pillars, as it offers the online community a friendly and familiar face to which users will have a chance to connect with. In turn, this relationship will build positive brand loyalty and establish Sayches and its mascot as one of the newest symbols of Internet privacy.

“As another revenue stream, our Elephant-Fish mascot will be used to create unique merchandising products. Investment will be made in the company to create a unique, elegant and attractive brand, as we want to make Sayches a symbol of digital privacy”, describes the start-up. Ahead of the social media platform launch, the company has recently released Sayches Sticker Packs, containing illustrations of the Elephant-Fish mascot, available for Telegram and iMessage users.
