Manuel Suarez, CEO of Attention Grabbing Media, Talks Successful Growth through Social Media

Manuel Suarez is proof that your future is in your hands. Just 10 years ago, Suarez was at a low point; he was bankrupt and worried about how he could care for his growing family.

“Sometimes I look back on where I was compared to where I am now, and it’s crazy,” he said. “I’m very grateful for everything that led me to this point.”

That low point propelled Suarez to learn everything he could about marketing to grow his e-commerce business. Suarez sacrificed nights, weekends, giving it his all to sharpen his social media and marketing skills.

Success in the Making

Driven by a need to increase his product sales through Amazon, Suarez discovered a passion for social media and found his home in marketing. From his determination, Suarez was able to transform his struggling business to one bringing in over $600,000 monthly in sales.

Once he perfected his marketing skills, Manuel turned his attention to his father and taught him how to leverage social media and gain millions of followers for his alternative health brand.

By 2015, Suarez was ready to take his knowledge and expertise to other small businesses and founded Attention Grabbing Media (AGM), a full-service marketing agency.

What began with only three core employees has grown to over 90 employees and, most recently, a 6,000-square-foot office building in Largo, Florida. The renovated brick-and-mortar building serves as the perfect space for brainstorming, collaboration, and includes a dedicated recording studio.

“Being able to bring on new employees is always the best part of growing AGM for me,” said Suarez. “I feel that we’re all at our best when everyone accesses their own creativity and knowledge and brings what they feel they can do best to the table for our clients. More employees mean more chances to do that. That (6,000-square-foot building) expansion signals the next phase of our growth to me.”

Other successful entrepreneurs, such as Shark Tank investor and CEO of FUBU Daymond John, have worked in partnership with Suarez assisting clients and aspiring business founders learn how to harness social media to gain customer attention and grow their own businesses.

“It’s been an incredible journey to get to this point,” Suarez said. “As cheesy as it sounds, I can’t wait to see what comes next, because this is what we’ve been able to accomplish in the past five years alone, and I believe there’s so many more good things to come.”

What’s not at all cheesy is the recognition and attention AGM has received from Inc.com, by securing a ranking of 438th in the 37th annual Inc. 5000 List, a hallmark achievement recognizing the fastest-growing privately owned businesses in the nation.

Commitment to Community

Suarez knows that the key to a happy, stable community is being surrounded by successful business owners willing to improve the places they live, work and play. The more successful the local businesses are, the more revenue is created. In turn, this helps the local community by creating more secure jobs. “Families do better and that helps the overall community,” he said.

In addition, Suarez understands what it’s like to be a struggling entrepreneur and can relate to the efforts of struggling business people as he was once there himself. Suarez knew there was something he and his team could do about it, and thus began a community outreach aimed at businesses who are most in need.

AGM currently offers free, bi-weekly classes for business people and entrepreneurs. Attendees can learn the basics of marketing and lead generation, in addition to other useful topics. These sessions are also live-streamed on Facebook and YouTube.

“The free workshops are part of AGM’s vision and goal to serve people on all levels,” Suarez said. “We have begun to hold seminars, workshops and have masterminds in the building to help serve the community and teach others about marketing.”

The Future is Now

With the sudden push into the future from the pandemic, it’s more important than ever for businesses to reach their customers. “With so much of life moving online during the pandemic, internet platforms grew massively, accelerating what was probably 10 years of growth, into just a year,” Suarez said.
