Is there healthy versions of whipped cream?

While whipping cream is one of the most delicious dessert toppings out there, it is definitely not the most nutritious food you can eat. Whipped cream is usually sweetened and should not be consumed in large amounts, especially by people who are trying to watch their sugar intake.

The fact that whipped cream packaging is so convenient, does not help either. In fact, whipped cream lovers often use nang delivery Melbourne options, to make the experience of eating whipped cream or putting it on something as a topping smoother.

But are there some similar alternatives that aren’t so high in sugar or fat, or have more nutritional values? Let’s look at some of the options.

Fat-Free Whipped Cream

Besides the sugar, whipped cream also has a lot of fat. If you are trying to avoid fat then you could try the fat-free whipped cream. While this type of whipped cream does not completely mimic the flavor of the original, it still tastes ok and will satisfy your cravings for full-fat whipped cream, at least for the time being. It still has that fluffy texture but is definitely less creamy.

But since our priority is to look for healthy options, this one is definitely worth a try.

Cashew Whipped cream

This is definitely a healthier alternative to whipped cream, and it actually has way better nutritional value, since cashews are good for you and give you a lot of energy. On the other hand, since you are essentially using cashew milk, the taste won’t be exactly the same, the flavor profile is completely different. You should also keep in mind that cashew milk whips a little differently compared to dairy milk, but it is definitely an option worth considering if you want to have healthier alternatives for whipped cream on hand. This particular version of the “healthy whipped cream” can be enjoyed paired with fruits or even by itself since cashews are quite flavorful.

Coconut whipped creams

A third alternative you could try instead of regular whipped cream is coconut whipped cream. As the name would suggest, the base for this whipped cream is coconut milk. Since coconut milk has natural sweetness, it is a healthier way to bring some sweetness to your cream. This is a great alternative if you are lactose intolerant or if you can’t use cashews because you have nut allergies. Even if you are none of those things but enjoy coconut flavored desserts, make sure to give this one a try. It has way fewer calories and for some people, it might even taste better.

As you can see there are ways to make whipped cream healthy. You might find that the taste is not exactly the same or that the texture is a bit off, but at the end of the day, all of these alternatives are delicious and can easily be used as a substitute to any recipe that requires whipping cream and contain way fewer calories.
