The IPL is the Twenty twenty league of India and is one of the biggest cricket tournament of the world and sixth largest sport tournament of the world. This is the professional cricket league of India which was started in 2007 by BCCI. This year the tournament was supposed to be commence from the month of march but due to the pandemic caused by Novel Coronavirus and the whole world was in lockdown and to maintain the social distance with other, it was postponed by the authorities. But now after the lot of delaying it is decided that the matches will start from 19th Sept 2020. And the venue was also shifted from India to UAE. This decision was taken by the BCCI because cricket is a religion un India and it is very hard to stop the people from maintaining the social distance as it attracts many people. On 2nd August the Indian Government give its permission to organize the match in UAE.
But it was not easy for the BCCI to start the IPL because they faced many controversy from the public as the sponsor were VIVO electronics and India are boycotting the Chinese products. So, BCCI decided to remove them and it is still not clear that who will sponsor now but TATA Group and Patanjali are the strong contendor for it in the race. This time the teams are same as the last time. All the Teams Chennai Superkings, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challenger Bangalore, Sunriser Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royal, Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Capitols and Kings XI Punjab. These are the teams which are playing the 60 matches and only one can lift the cup. The schedule which was made for the IPL for the month of March is now cancelled and the new schedule will be uploaded soon as soon as it gets published.
All the teams are now set for the IPL and started their practice session. Now, as soon they get their COVID report they will leave for the UAE. For now we all know that the first match will be played between Chennai and Mumbai Indians.
