Akram’s Journey
Akram recently developed ‘Bhag Corona’, a COVID-19 online educational game, which was popular among Indian users and visited by millions during the lockdown. As part of ‘Bhag Corona’, he along with Anushree Warade, also partnered with ShareChat, an Indian regional social networking application. ‘Bhag Corona’ was inspired by the World Health Organization’s guidelines on safety to be adopted during the pandemic.
The gameplay had purportedly been kept simple to focus on the original intent of the game. “The startup world is cruel. Ideas that seem exciting and game-changers end up in a fiasco. You have to ensure your product has a key differentiator. The unique selling point and value proposition with Bhag Corona were how it provided users with a way to learn about precautionary measures in an interactive manner”, he added. Strategic thinking and a long term vision are what have made Akram a successful young entrepreneur.
He also spearheaded the marketing operations at YourLibaas, which is India’s largest eCommerce store for Pakistani Suits, and achieved 242k Facebook likes, 36k Instagram followers & 520k avg. Pinterest monthly viewers for the organization.
His latest foray is into emerging technologies like Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies. As the founder of CryptoTrends, an online cryptocurrency blog, he dived into the exciting world of Blockchain. “The world of Blockchain is fairly complex for the average Joe and there are very few resources that explain the concept in a simple manner”, said Akram.
Akram has also been invited as a panelist by Republic TV thrice and debated on a variety of socio-political topics. Mr. Khan also shares his entrepreneurship experience at YourStory and DZone to educate young and budding entrepreneurs to achieve their dreams and turn from wantrepreneurs into real entrepreneurs.
He is currently pursuing Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management at XLRI, Jamshedpur, and aims to break into the world of Product Management post completion of the course.
