Alzheimer’s disease really affects its victims and their families. Marked with various symptoms, Alzheimer’s is a brain disorder. Among those symptoms such as memory loss. People with Alzheimer’s not only to forget people and events, but they can also forget to do the daily routines of life, such as common hygiene. People with Alzheimer’s get progressively worse.

One of the great benefits of puzzles is that you can do as much as you want at any given time. Work on it for a few minutes a day or a few hours a day. You finish it when you finish it. More importantly, solving puzzles is fun.

Just when you thought improving your brain function couldn’t be more enjoyable than doing puzzles, here comes an even more fun way to tackle memory loss. Card games are another powerful remedy that you can start using today. Any card game will do. If you can’t find anyone to play card games with you, you should be able to find some already installed on your computer. Games like solitaire or free spider solitaire will be very effective in improving your memory skills. You can even play hearts and spades against the computer.

If you are reading about Alzheimer’s disease because your parents or other family members have it, then you should start participating in these activities to stimulate your mind. Alzheimer’s is genetic. So, if your parents or another family member have to do it, you will most likely get it yourself as you get older. Studies have shown that Alzheimer’s disease is easier to prevent if you take action before it occurs.

If you already have Alzheimer’s, hang on. Don’t push yourself too hard to improve your memory. Just keep your brain active every day and enjoy the process of enjoying fun games. Also, be sure to consult with your doctor about what else you can do to minimize the effects of your condition.
