The world is steadily becoming more and more integrated with technological solutions. This can be seen in everyday life, and really all over. From smart-refrigerators that can handle online-grocery ordering and send notifications to your phone, to A.I enabled smart-vehicles that are aiming for total autonomy technology is becoming more and more advanced each and every year. This isn’t anything new, as technology has always been subject to swift evolutions. It does paint a telling picture though. The rapid advancement in technology isn’t likely to slow down any time soon, so finding ways to make technology work for you, instead of against you, will be vital in continuing to find success down the road.

Many organizations are already making use of various technological solutions that ease their business operations and contribute to productivity. No matter what area of business you’re in, it’s likely that technology is involved. From full-fledged marketing softwares that focus on SEO and content marketing, to communication platforms that allow your organization to post across multiple platforms all at once, these softwares are designed to make running and operating a business much easier than it ever has been before. Some popular softwares, like CRM, are even becoming available on the consumer market, whereas before they were exclusively enterprise level services.

What is CRM?

CRM stands for customer relationship management. CRMs are typically enterprise level programs or softwares that tackle customer relationship management. This allows marketing professionals and others within an organization to create comprehensive consumer profiles attached to any individual customer. Important consumer data is stored and populated within this consumer profile that makes it easy for a brand to customize marketing campaigns, advertisements, and messaging targeted at an individual consumer.

There are a wide variety of CRM softwares from which organizations can choose, and each come with their own unique suite of features, tools, bells, and whistles. Deciding which CRM is best for your organization can come down to the industry in which you’re operating, and the CRM functions that your organization is most concerned with.

Enterprise CRM Software vs. Personal CRM Software

As mentioned above, CRM is such a popular product on the enterprise side of things, that it is actually making its consumer debut as well. Personal CRMs are relatively new to the market, so there is still a lot of room for innovation, competition, and expansion. However, there are some key differences between enterprise CRMs and personal CRMs that are important to know and understand. First and foremost is scale. Enterprise CRMs, as the name suggests, are designed for enterprise organizations. These are large-scale organizations and companies that are serving medium-to-large consumer markets. As such, the CRM functionality needed in the context of an enterprise level software is much larger. The main focus for many enterprise level CRMs is the processing power, as every single individual in the consumerbase needs their own profile within the CRM.

Additionally, software compatibility is another major focal-point for enterprise CRMs because they need to work seamlessly with other enterprise softwares on which companies rely.

A personal CRM, on the other hand, is designed specifically for individual use. This means that personal CRMs focus on a different series of user functions. Specifically, personal CRMs are kind of like private LinkedIn’s for you, yourself, and only you. A personal CRM is a sleek and elegant way to keep your contacts organized in a central place. It’s almost a digitized rolodex.

Personal CRMs are great for keeping notes on your circle of loved ones, friends, and acquaintances. It’s the perfect space to sync both your network, and your schedule, for easy and efficient personal time management. The nice thing about using a personal CRM is that you can sync it with your Twitter and your LinkedIn to make importing and sorting contacts in your network as easy as pie.

Keeping Notes Updated and Organized

Everyone wishes they could remember all the details of all their friends. This is especially the case as we get older and spend more time apart from people we consider friends. This is natural, as adults find serious relationships, sink themselves into work, travel, or any number of other life experiences.

As such, having a centralized place to sort and organize little notes on all your friends, acquaintances, and loved ones, can help you stay up to date with the lives of everyone you consider a part of your circle.

Wrapping Up

The world is a crazy and chaotic place. Adding a little order into your life could be the breath of relief that you’ve been looking for, and a personal CRM that fits your lifestyle could be just the tool you need to do it. No matter if you’re looking to deepen your existing relationships, or you want to expand your circle; a personal CRM can help you stay up to date with your people, and help you organize your week-to-week life.
