How To Furnish Your Hotel Rooms To Make Them More Appealing To Customers

Many components go into providing a comfortable room at a hotel and it is important to be up-to-par with your competition in all areas. If you don’t, your customers will notice and decide to book elsewhere. The following tips can help you make sure you’re not left behind by the competition when it comes to the little things like furnishing.

One of the main parts of your guest’s experience is going to come from their surroundings while they’re staying in one of your hotel rooms. You want every aspect of that to be perfect because if it isn’t, you won’t gain any guests. The following tips will help ensure that everything about the way the room is furnished will satisfy even more people

Furnish with convenience

You know your guests are going to have things they need during their stay with you. If the hotel room is furnished in a way that makes it easy for them to get what they need, they’ll be happier. For example, place lamps on nightstands next to the bed where someone can easily reach them if they wake up in the middle of the night and want to turn on a light without having to get up. Another simple idea is to make sure the desks or tables are near an electrical outlet so people can charge their devices while staying in one of your rooms.

They won’t have to go hunting for one when trying to charge their device either because it will already be right there next to where they’re working on your hotel room’s desk. You may also want to supply your guests with a few extra items in your hotel rooms like clocks,  hairdryers, and an ironing board. Not all rooms have those things so it will be a nice extra for your guests if you do.

Make sure your beds are comfortable

One of the most important things you need to focus on while furnishing your hotel rooms is how comfortable the beds are. If one of your guests has a bad night’s sleep, they’re not going to be happy. Then they’ll check out early and won’t recommend your business to anyone else. To avoid this problem make sure each bed in every one of your hotel rooms is comfortable with an attractive-looking set of sheets and cushy pillows.

When it comes to the mattresses make sure they’re clean and well-maintained. If a customer, for any reason, can’t sleep on a less than original mattress, you can bet they won’t have a good time, so it’s best not to take any chances with this aspect of your hotel room’s furnishing. Also,  keep in mind that it is important to be consistent with the style of beds that you use. For example, if you have three queen-sized beds, then your other queens should match so there is no confusion about which room guests are placed in.

More space for storage

Many hotel rooms don’t have much in the way of storage space. You need to make sure that this isn’t something your guests will run into while staying with you. Give them enough room for clothing and other things by furnishing some storage areas yourself. There are many items on the market today that can help you do this including some very attractive cabinet or closet pieces that make it easy to find storage options at a reasonable price. In addition to this,  they need to be easily accessible so they don’t have to dig through stacks or piles of items. The last thing you want is to lose a guest because they don’t have any space in the room to put their belongings away

Always have a flat-screen television in every room

While the furnishings are an important factor in making your hotel rooms more appealing to guests, it is just as important that they have amenities you’re using in all of the other rooms. For example, one reason people choose to book certain hotels online over others is that they tend to have flat-screen televisions and high-speed Internet access. If some of your rooms don’t have these things while others do, then your guests may feel like they’ve reached a dead end and decide not to go past that point on their trip. You’ll never get them back if that happens, so make sure there’s always a television and Internet access for them regardless of what type of room they book with you.

Don’t forget to include a mini-fridge

Many hotel rooms come with a mini-fridge in them. If yours doesn’t, then you need to make sure you have one for your guests in every single room. This is where they’ll be able to store food items so when they get hungry late at night, they can eat something without having to go far from the comfort of their beds. A small snack or drink will always be welcome in your hotel room if it’s included in this way since people won’t have to worry about where they’re going to find it before bedtime rolls around either. Remember that the smaller the fridge is, the better suited it will be for individual bedrooms where space can be limited. You don’t want people feeling crowded when looking inside of their units.

Make sure the kitchenette is fully equipped

Some hotel rooms come with kitchenettes, while others don’t. If you’re furnishing a room without one and your guests need or want to cook something, then they’ll feel frustrated and might leave. That’s why you need to make sure that every room comes equipped with a fully functional kitchenette including appliances like microwaves and dishwashers, dishes and silverware, pots and pans, cooking utensils, towels, paper goods (toilet paper), trash bags (for the wastebaskets), etc. The more of these items your hotel rooms include in the way of furniture and especially appliances will help people get around comfortably during their stay with you. Also,  make sure to stock the area with enough cleaning supplies and any other items that people might forget to bring with them like salt and pepper.

As you can see, there are many things you can do to make your hotel rooms more appealing to guests. Since you’ve already invested money in them, it makes sense for you to want the best return possible on this investment. Keeping these tips in mind will help you accomplish this.
