WHAT IS A PASLODE NAIL GUN?
The Paslode firm invented the first pneumatic nailer, which over the last 50 years has become a market leader in specialized nailers. These are dependable goods that come in a variety of choices to meet your needs. Nail guns require frequent maintenance, with a 50,000-shot or 6-month oiling and maintenance plan recommended.
HOW TO CLEAN A CORDLESS PASLODE NAIL GUN INSTRUCTIONS
It’s easy to disassemble and clean a nailer. Always remove the battery and fuel canister before beginning, since this will avoid any accidental firing.
STEP 1: REMOVE MAGAZINE HANDLE AND CLEAN GRILL AND AIR FILTER
Remove the two socket head screws from the nose piece with the hex key wrench, then pull away from the motor assembly on the handle/magazine. Tilt the handle/magazine and gently push to break apart the two parts of the gun.
STEP 2: DEGREASE THE CYLINDER HEAD
Spray the cylinder head with a degreaser and place a rag or towel beneath it, allowing dirt to run off. Wipe any remaining dirt and cleaner from the blades and make sure the seal rings and spark plug are clean.
STEP 3: LUBRICATE SEAL RINGS
Maintenance for your nail gun does not just include cleaning it. It’s also important to oil your tool, which is not as difficult as you would think. You should lubricate the seal rings after cleaning your cylinder head and seal rings.
STEP 4: CLEAN THE MOTOR ASSEMBLY
To begin, slide the narrow shank of a screwdriver or similar instrument down the middle of the piston until it seats in its ‘own’ position. To clean the inside of a sleeve and combustion chamber, first, spray them with a large dose of cleaning solution and then invert it and allow the dirt to drain out through a rag or towel. Wipe any remaining cleanser or dirt off using a lint-free cloth.
STEP 5: OIL THE MOTOR ASSEMBLY
Tilt-up the structure and apply 4 to 5 droplets of lubricant into the sleeve, as well as 5 to 6 drops into the lower lip of the combustion chamber. To distribute the oil throughout the sleeve and lip, manually rotate the motor assembly. Then hold the setup vertically and push down while releasing to allow oil to spread across the combustion chamber’s lip.
STEP 6: REASSEMBLE
Remember, if you’re having trouble with debris in your parts, don’t hesitate to add more degreaser and repeat any processes that you feel are needed- and before properly oiling your components, clean them clean of debris.
The nail gun is one of the most important tools in a carpenter’s arsenal. It can make quick work of any project and save time, which translates to money for the contractor. For this reason, it’s imperative that you take care of your nail guns so they last as long as possible.
