Historically speaking, taking up the passion of fly fishing has been challenging, expensive, elitist even, and much hadn’t changed until innovators of the sport decided to open the door, and welcome anyone and everyone into this fulfilling pastime. We wanted to be a part of this movement, which led to the formation of our company, Freestone Fly Fishing Co.
The goal of Freestone Fly Fishing Co. was to create a product that would check as many boxes on the fly angler’s gear list, pack it into a convenient vessel, sprinkle a few of our tips and tricks on top, and send it out at a price-point that was not only acceptable to our patrons, but acceptable to us as well. You see, we’ve been down the road of over-priced gear and flies, and frankly, we knew we could do better.

Each box is curated and packed with one thing in mind, bringing the fly shop to the subscriber’s door for a fraction of the price. Need a variety of high quality, season and species-specific flies? Looking for a few more stickers to slap on the old fish-wagon? Oh you better believe we have you covered there too.
Our box has something in it for every angler out there. Having a few boxes delivered is a great way to establish or amplify a collection of flies, and all the gear we include is run through our rigorous Freestone field-test – if we wouldn’t use it, we don’t expect our subscribers to either. This is our 3rd year in operation, and while we absolutely love what we do, it isn’t just the success we’ve garnered that brings us to our place of work each day.
