Fascinating details leaked about Pokémon Ruby Sapphire and Emerald

It is not clear where these leaks originated. There have been rumors that they surfaced a while ago, but they have only been released now.

What’s more, there could be so much more to come. For now, though, we have to settle for what might be a glimpse of more intriguing details from the history of Pokémon games.

What we know so far has been summed up by Pokémon leaker Eclipse.

Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire release date

One of the most interesting things was when Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire was going to be released. Download pokemon Ruby ROM from here. The third-generation game was originally released on November 21, 2002.

However, according to the leaks, it was supposedly scheduled for March 17, 2003, but was released four months earlier because development of the game was completed early.

Jirachi and Deoxys

Jirachi and the enigmatic Deoxys were the two mythical Pokémon of the Hoenn region. However, during the preparation of the game that was not his name.

Their beta / prototype names were Ganboo instead of Jirachi and Jiigen for Deoxys. We don’t know if these were their final names, but they were obviously changed prior to the game’s release.

Lost pokemon

Since the first Pokémon games there have been some scraps. An earlier leak revealed 14 that could have been in Red and Blue. This is not particularly surprising given that some designs will inevitably not meet the required standards to be included.

What is surprising is the large number of Pokémon that have apparently been eliminated from Generation 3. It is reported that there were 68 provisionally included that were never released. Unfortunately, we don’t have their designs, but they might come out in the future.

Combining movements

Elsewhere, there could have been a completely different dynamic to battles with the potential to combine moves. An example of this is the combination of Embers and Tornado to make the Heat Wave move.

Technically it is not new news as, as Eclipse points out, this information can be found in the final code of Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald. However, it is a fascinating feature that could have altered the battles for future generations.
