Built around books, animated stories, and original music, Jette & Jo follows the journeys of two sisters as they use creative expression to nurture confidence, resilience, and emotional awareness in young readers. The brand’s musical offerings have already struck a chord with audiences: one original children’s song has surpassed 40,000 views on YouTube, signaling meaningful early traction with families and young listeners alike.
The sisters each bring a distinct creative background to the project. Kelli Hill is an Emmy® and Clio® Award-winning producer with an extensive career in television, digital media, live experiences, and branded content. She approached Jette & Jo as a passion project rooted in her commitment to building audience-centered storytelling that speaks meaningfully to both children and the adults in their lives.
“We wanted to create a world that feels safe, familiar, and encouraging,” says Kelli Hill. “Children experience a wide range of feelings, and our goal with Jette & Jo is to meet them where they are, whether they are feeling joyful, thoughtful, or nervous, and help them find their voice.”
Co-creator Chel Hill brings her work as a Billboard-charting songwriter, children’s author, and founder of The Song Builders. A voting member of the Recording Academy, she has spent her career using music as a vehicle for connection and collaboration across communities and organizations. Within Jette & Jo, she channels that expertise into original compositions and lyrical narratives designed to help children work through complex emotional experiences.
“Music and storytelling are powerful tools for emotional growth,” explains Chel Hill. “With A Frog in My Throat, we wanted to offer a quiet, honest look at what it feels like to be nervous. We want kids to understand that courage doesn’t mean waiting for fear to vanish, it means finding the strength to move forward even while the nervous feeling remains.”
The debut title follows young Jette on the morning of her recital, as she wakes with an unfamiliar tightness she struggles to name. As showtime approaches, she learns to listen to her inner voice and face her stage fright head-on. Within its first week, the story had resonated widely with parents and educators, reaching the Amazon Top 100 for the Children’s Social Skills category.
Now available in hardcover, paperback, and Kindle editions, A Frog in My Throat marks the first chapter of a growing creative universe. Future projects, including additional volumes, animated content, and new music releases, are already in development.
