Dull complexion, skin pigmentation, dark circles, fine lines, and wrinkles are some of the problems we all face at some point in time. While many think about when they should start taking care of their skin, the answer is always now. The fact is that many dermatologists and skin experts recommend taking care of the skin at an early age. It should be one of the top priorities, especially if one wants to keep skin problems at bay in their mid-30s and 40s. They say prevention is better than cure, and this statement absolutely holds true, especially when it comes to skincare.
While the internet is full of tips and tricks related to skincare, it is surely not a great idea to try them on our skin. Only a qualified dermatologist or skin care expert can suggest the right kind of treatment after analysing the issue as well as the skin texture. This is where leading skin expert Dr Rola Shahadat comes in.
A Syrian-Ukrainian doctor and specialist in dermatology and cosmetics, Dr Rola was born into a family of doctors. Since childhood, she has been ambitious and adamant about becoming a well-known doctor. She worked in Ukraine for more than a decade after finishing her studies. Due to her exceptional work, she was called into service in the biggest anti-ageing centre in Europe, where she did her specialisation in dermatology.

Know your skin
According to Dr Rola, the essential part of skincare is understanding that every person is different and has a unique skin type. As a dermatologist, there are many things to consider before starting the treatment. Everything must be considered, from their needs, desired results, hormonal changes, and lifestyle. After studying all that and treating any medical issue, she advises her patients to do regular skin cleansing facials and use the correct products that suit their skin type. It is suggested to use the most organic and chemical-free creams as well as other facial products that can prevent the skin from harmful reactions and help regain the natural glow and shine.
Vitamins
For well-nourished skin, taking care of vitamin deficiency is of utmost importance. Many people suggest avoiding the sun, but it must be considered that it is also a source of vitamin D. However, protecting your skin from UV is necessary, and that can be blocked by using good sunscreen. Dr Rola says that Vitamin D is one of the best for your skin, along with vitamins C, E, and K. If you want radiant and glowing skin, she suggests using skin boosters and serums.
Look after your diet
Caring for your skin from the inside is another essential skin preventive procedure. What most of us eat on a daily basis significantly affects our skin. Dr Rola states, “For glowing fresh skin, fruits and vegetables must be included in your diet plan. It is also advised to increase the intake of water as it helps the body detox the impurities, leaving a hydrating glow on your skin.”
The above skin care tips can be followed at any age, but starting as early as possible is better. Having a good skin routine will not just benefit you now but also help delay the ageing process in the long run. Many people want to look like a photo-shopped version of themselves, but Dr Rola Shahadat thinks otherwise. She explains to her patients that your skin is perfect, and though one might need some treatment, the goal should not deviate from that. It is important to accept yourself and your skin and tackle the issue that causes dullness, dryness, or other skin problems.
