Link building services are when marketing agencies will work to build links to your website in order to boost your rankings and increase your sales, traffic and readership as a result. As the title suggests, there are a lot of questions surrounding the work that SEO/marketing agencies do and if it is worth the monthly fee that you will have to pay out.

Most of the time, you will see marketing agencies sell link building services ranging anywhere from $100 to $1,000 and in some cases even higher. But what are you getting for your money?

Agencies that sell link building services carry out their services in different ways, these methods are used to cut costs and increase the profit they can make on each client. The first way that agencies carry out this link building is to buy links from website owners and put your link in the content. This is incredibly risky, as buying links is heavily frowned upon by search engines. If a search engine, such as Google, sees that your website has an ‘unnatural’, link profile (indicating they have been bought), then you may receive a penalty that puts the breaks on your ranking aspirations. It is clear why agencies would look to do this type of service, as it has great margins and is easy to carry out. However, the person buying this service is likely to pay the price in the end and the monthly fee of buying these links may as well be thrown down the drain as it won’t lead to long-term results.

To conclude, the price of buying links is may possibly be higher than the earnings that you will receive as a result of your improved rankings. Although, working with an SEO expert or agency that is results-focused is likely to be more fruitful.
