From Copywriter to Copy Queen

Makaeff certainly knows her way around a cubicle and can relate to those dreaming of escaping the office lifestyle. She has 6 years experience as an agency copywriter in addition to 7 years experience running her own direct response agency. After going freelance and making $80,000 in her first year to ultimately building a seven-figure brand, she realized she had a lot more to offer the world and decided to teach her copywriting secrets.

Today, she has her own online brand, which she launched using direct response copywriting and email techniques – two of the skills that she now teaches to empower other women in creating fierce and feminine copy. Though the Copy Queen is incredibly successful today, her life hasn’t always been easy. She lost her dad when she was an infant and her mom from a heart attack in 2014, leaving her lost, confused and, at one point, even suffering from suicidal thoughts.

“Life changes after you lose your parents. You realize life is short. I had this big career but I didn’t want to spend all my time working and away from those I love. And I wanted that lifestyle freedom to do something that mattered with the time that I have left here on this planet – I never felt like I was changing the world, and making an impact is so important to me.”

It was this revelation that catalyzed her to start her first online venture, a digital book about niche, target market, and personal branding tied to a highly effective email funnel and social marketing strategy. The strong response to this product led to her creating her first course, and it’s been non-stop ever since.

“I’m in the process of creating so much more content. I have bundles of content coming and I can’t wait to have it all out,” she said.
