In every country worldwide, women face multiple barriers and gender-based discrimination in the workplace. The discrimination sets in early, starting from the kind of education girls get or the work they are educated to do. The occupational segregation and multiple barriers in both private and public spheresare a rooted reality. Due to cultural mindsets and stereotypes, the obstacles for women haveonly increased worldwide.
Significant progress has been made in many fields, but much still needs to be done. However, many women have succeeded in breaking the barrier of prejudice and entering professions considered to be typically male-dominant. They still face many difficulties, and this constant challenge seems to be the incentive that drives many women to prove that they canexcel in any occupation.
Some courageous women are part of the minority occupying roles traditionally performed by men, despite still being the exception to the rule. Furthermore, they become examples, so girls of all ages increasingly tread these paths and break gender barriers. Another problem is the mirror image of society; when we see fewer women in engineering, construction, or aviation, for example, it tends to be perpetuated.
Daniela Asaro Romanoff has proved that not only can a woman break all barriers by entering into male-dominant professions but can also invest her time in multiple careers as well. She has broken all the norms and skillfully excelled in more than just one field. She is a successful physicist, writer, journalist, painter, and sculptor. Romanoff has proved that women can achieve anything they put their minds to.

The unbelievable variety of career paths that she has chosen for herself hasleft a mark in empowering women worldwide. She is a living example of strength and bravery, which every woman should consider before being limited by cultural barriers.
